Our recent stay was nothing short of disappointing and unacceptable. My partner and I booked this unit for what was meant to be a special vacation, our first together. However, upon arrival around 8pm after a long day of travel, we were met with conditions that left us shocked and deeply dissatisfied.Firstly, the unit was plagued by a pervasive, unpleasant odor that permeated every corner. The tap water, which we expected to use for basic necessities, had a foul smell and was undrinkable. This made it impossible for us to even brush our teeth comfortably. Adding to our dismay, both refrigerators contained leftover food, clearly indicating a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance.Moreover, the listing advertised the unit as a condo, but to our dismay, it was actually part of the Kona Islander Inn—a motel and a crucial detail that was misleadingly omitted. This discovery was not only surprising but significantly impacted our expectations and overall experience.Confronted with these intolerable conditions, we made the difficult decision to vacate the property the following morning and secure alternative accommodations at a hotel. As such, we are requesting a full refund to reflect the complete lack of hospitality and disregard for basic standards of cleanliness and transparency
