Gut: Sauberkeit
The good: for the most part, the unit itself was as advertised. Overall, cleanliness was acceptable. Loved the ocean view, that was without a doubt the highlight. The beach was accessible if we wanted it.The bad: we were disappointed about the renovation going on during our stay. We were informed a week before our arrival that the renovation work was behind, therefore our view would likely be obstructed and the lanai unusable for a period of time. As it turned out, the work in front of our unit was finished prior to our arrival, so we were grateful for that. What we didn't like, though, is that there was work going on inside the unit right next to us, and on other parts of the building that could be easily heard during the day. That impacts the experience. Instead of peace and quiet, there is the sound of construction work for much of the day, not to mention cones and scaffolding being in view.I booked this unit over a year ago. I had many options at that point. If I would've known about the renovation, I very possibly would have chosen a different place to stay. I realize work needs to be done, but guests should be informed when making their reservations, and I would think a discount from the normal price would be appropriate.Overall, though, our experience was good and I would recommend this unit, but without the construction going on. I think communication about that could've been better.That's the only thing that made it a good day, not a great one!
