The lady taking care of the breakfast on the weekend was rude, complained that no help, it was always in need of food, juice and no silverware to be found. She had the same clothing on two day in a row. We have a daughter attending college in Kalamazoo and make the trip several times. Will not stay here again. Both morning were problem. Ask to speak to a manager was not contacted by him. Nice hotel nice room clean. But the employees ruined the trip

This is a really nice Hilton Garden Inn. The lobby and hallways all feel like an upscale hotel. The parking is easy and attached via an enclosed bridge/walkway. The rooms are nice and well appointed. We had a small maintenance issue but it did not affect our stay. We will stay again.

Bree, who was our server, was very welcoming and kind. The hotel was clean and everyone was friendly. The beds were comfortable. The only issue was a buzzing noise (mechanical sounds) were right outside of our room. I don't know where it was coming from, so I am unsure if it was hotel-related.

Fire alarm went off at 9am instructing all occupants to vacate the building, called to front desk and was told they were working on the system? AT 9 am? Then alarm preceded to go off several times for the next 2 hours When I went down to checkout I asked why they were allowed to work on the system before the 11am checkout I was told I don’t know they’re still here, and the tech was doing paperwork in the lobby! This was an unacceptable situation, it should never be acceptable to alarm your guests and then have to call the front desk and ask if this was a drill, being abruptly woke up and scurrying to collect your belongings without warning

There was a dirty rag on the night stand. There were no trash bags in the trash receptacle. The fire alarm went off upwards of ten times in the morning beginning around 9 AM. The housekeeping staff member told me it was being tested.

The lamps, TV, were not dusted. Had a negative encounter with Food Service Manager, who rudely interrupted a server that was talking to customers. She wasn't friendly, she put her fingers in her mouth behind the bar, kept touching her hair. Didn't say anything about it when people were around. However, the next day, I wanted to order food to take to my room. Again, she had her hands in her hair around food. I didn't order anything to eat after that experience. Otherwise, the checking in experience team were great, Alex, Adam, and several others that worked the front desks. Check out, I called to get a receipt and the person didn't know how to work the system. Made sure they didn't charge me twice for the trip since I prepaid through Expedia.
