40th Anniversary with the family

I wanted to pick the perfect stay for my family to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Me my wife our 2 kids there spouses and 3 grandkids. I looked at over 200 homes looking for the perfect one. I saved this one amd kept coming back to it. The view of the ocean, sunrise and sunset was remarkable. The pool and hot tub kept all of us busy. 5 beds and 6 bathrooms were perfect. The amenities in the house amd everyrhibg you needed was there. Especially all the tupperware was perfect. Chairs and umbrellas perfect for the beach. The entire modern house was so cool. David the concierge helped us with everything. In our opinion it was a 10 out of 10. Thank you for everything it made our anniversary trip just perfect.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — the space was spotless, beautifully decorated, equipped and very comfortable. The host and property concierge were incredibly welcoming and responsive, providing great local tips and making sure we had everything we needed.The location was ideal, close to resort amenities but still peaceful and quiet. The amenities exceeded our expectations, especially the well-equipped kitchen and cozy living area. We also loved the outdoor space — perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.Overall, this was one of our best VRBO experiences, and we would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our trip so memorable!

Perfection

The owners of this property have done everything right with their home. The management company - wonderful. The home is appointed with every item one could need or hope to have available. The instruction and guide booklet was superbly written, extremely helpful and detailed. Don't let the pics fool you...in person - it is even better! The view is unmatched; the home is decorated with the most pleasing colors and furniture. Unfortunately, they have ruined the thought of staying at any other property. We hope to come back to HaMoHo again, and again. Thank you Duncan and Rowly!

Perfect Big Island Getaway

This is simply the most well appointed home we have ever rented (of 20 rentals). Not only everything you need, but things you did not know you needed, and all organized and labeled to make it easy for you, and perhaps more importantly the next guest.My personal favorite features were the enormous pool, and the high end bedrooms - all equally appointed so no complaints on who got the “best” room.Big Island is great - don’t miss Waimea (just up the hill) it’s closer than Kona and has a relaxed vibe that is a refreshing change from the resorts.Aloha Mr. Hand - Aloha Spicoli

Heaven on Earth

Very modern, clean and functional property. Incredibly comfortable, too. Best views (and sunsets!) in all of Hawaii. The property manager/concierge was attentive and I never had to wait more than 30 minutes for a reply to any and all questions we had about the house. Can't wait to stay here again next summer with my family.

Dream Vacation

The house was exactly as pictured on the listing. Every year we take a family vacation with my husband’s parents, his sister and her husband and our two kids, now teenagers who don’t want to share a room. With five bedrooms, it was the perfect set up. All of the rooms have sliding doors that open to the pool area, so we were able to go in and out as needed. There is plenty of seating outside, so it would the perfect gathering place. The views from the pool area are spectacular - again, the photos on the listing don’t lie. It’s going to be hard to leave in a few hours for the airport. We’re already looking at booking a week here next year - if we could stay forever I would.

Perfect family vacation

We had an absolutely perfect week at the hapuna modern house. We had 6 adults and 2 small children (2 and 8 months) and everyone had a blast! This house has everything you could possibly need and more. Pictures don’t even compare to the real thing. We were blown away by the attention to detail and amount of care put into every aspect of this house. David was so quick to respond to any question and recommend a fabulous private chef (big I private chef) as well as as a company to rent every possible baby item you could need (aloha Kona kids). Fantastic experience with all recommendations from the concierge. We are so thankful to the owners for letting us rent this beautiful luxury home. Can’t wait to come back!

Exceeded our expectations in every way

Look, my family and I have stayed in really nice rentals over the years and every single member of our group said the same thing - this was the best rental we have ever had the privilege of staying in. There aren't pictures or words that do it justice. You have to stay in it to see. As picture perfect as it is in the listing, it's better in person. Thank you to the homeowners for creating such an incredible place to vacation. We will most certainly be back!

It was AMAZING!

This house was incredible and perfect for a multi-generational family. We each had our private space and family space. The kids stayed in the pool from dawn to dark! It was equipped with everything we needed and then some. Needless to say, it made our trip even more special. Oh, I forgot to mention the view!!!! Spectacular! We will certainly go back, if the opportunity arises.

Hapuna modern house

The house and location were wonderful. We found the activities recommended by the concierge to be lacking. The kayaking trip was a huge group of people with very different ability levels. We spent most of the trip waiting for others who were not as skilled or fit. A group of 17 people in one outing seems like way too many. Same with the horseback riding experience I would not take activity recommendations from the concierge again.

Amazing home.

Amazing! Better than the photos, if you can believe it ....

What an amazing stay! We had two families of 4 with teenage children and there was more than enough room. We kept noticing that every one of our needs was met. We used the passes at the local resorts and enjoyed the time at the beaches. We ate at several local restaurants and did shopping at the grocery store - everything was easy and accessible. The kitchen and grill area are amazing for cooking at home. The views are simply spectacular. Thanks to the concierge, David, for all of his help during the trip.

This house was incredible! View is even better than the pictures and that’s saying a lot! The concierge David was also an all star and gave us phenomenal referrals to private chef, musician, hula lessons and excursions. Layout of the house made it perfect for letting kids swim while adults hang out on patio- I think they averaged about 7 hours of swimming a day! Made this family trip of ours very special and can’t thank the home owners enough for all of the details and cleanliness of the property. Mahalo!

Amazing house and location - what a view!

This house had everything we needed for the perfect holiday. Our family of 6 stayed for almost 2 weeks and it was so nice to have amazing views from each bedroom (not to mention our own bathrooms!) The house is fully equipped, from the kitchen to beach toys to games at the house, and is exactly as pictured. There is beautiful art everywhere, the beds and seating are comfortable and the outdoor space is wonderful. Many of us made use of the lap pool as well - not just for show! We've stayed in the area before and really enjoy this location, with the proximity to both resorts, and activities on this part of the island. Our contact for the house was incredibly responsive with any issues we had, and we did ask for a cleaning during the stay, which left the house even cleaner than when we'd arrived. Thank you for an amazing vacation!

Beautiful home with the best view!

The layout of this home is perfect. All bedrooms have huge glass doors that open to the infinity pool and beyond to the ocean. This home has every cooking tool and appliance you could ever need plus games and books. Welcome basket was enjoyed. Loved the aged cheddar cheese. The separate room was a little loud as it backed the air conditioners but probably would have been quieter if we had kept the bathroom door closed at night. We really didn’t notice any excessive road noise. Definitely going to buy a bidet for my home after experiencing these.
