Amazing property! Clean, comfortable and extremely well stocked. The gardens were beautiful, the yard was perfectly fenced for dogs, and the heated pool was an absolute hit with the kids. We loved every minute of our stay and would highly recommend this holiday home.

Rustic accommodation in quiet spot

Good sized house with a large open eating and lounge area indoors . Nice outdoor dining area with good BBQ and Smoker facilities . Decor is rustic and comfortable - not luxurious. Very nice outside pool . Bedrooms were disappointingly small . Aircon in lounge area was efficient but not so in the bedrooms which resulted in disrupted sleep for all of our party on our first night but thankfully the weather cooled for our second . Would we go back - not sure .

Wedding weekend

Kookaburra Hill was the perfect venue for our extended family to gather for 3 days of relaxation and celebration. The house had everything that we needed: an over stocked kitchen; separate bedrooms for each couple; 2 bathrooms ; a family sized pool and extensive grounds to explore and play. The weather was extremely hot, but the air conditioning and the blackout blinds along with well considered planting around the home made the house a refuge from 30 + temperatures. The poolside umbrellas and the bench seating around the perimeter of the pool meant that our family members of all ages ( 8 mths old to 67 years) could relax in comfort. At night ,the fire pit with a seat for all while we looked at a star filled sky and the morning sighting of an echidna and kangaroos just outside the properties boundary completed and perfect weekend stay.

Wonderful property

Thank you for a wonderful NY stay. We really enjoyed the property and the pool. The kitchen and set up is great with everything you need including all the basics like oil, sauce, salt and pepper etc. We had a couple of small issues arise which was out of anyone’s control during our stay but Rob was literally on the door step within moments to help out which was greatly appreciated. The communication with management was very good the whole time. Thanks again we would definitely recommend and stay again!

Lovely grounds

The house is set on lovely grounds. We enjoyed our stay very much and were able to thoroughly relax with long days by the pool and convenient bbq dinners. The kitchen is very well equipped (even thought the property manager were not able to advise and actually told us to bring things that were already provided)! Great location and house for a group of family and friends with young kids. We hope to stay again.

Loved our stay

We had the most wonderful stay in this amazing property! Kids loved the pool. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need. The garden was beautiful in the mornings with the singing of the birds. Would definitely book again.

Stunning gardens

Garden was truly beautiful and my favourite pastime was sitting in the lounge looking out at the roses and flowers. Well equiped kitchen. We loved the smoker! Only criticism was the layout of bedrooms wasn’t ideal and it would have been good to have known this is advance.. perhaps a floor plan could be included?

Great time for all in Kangaroo Valley

We stayed a week with my 8 year old daughter and our Cocker Spaniel Billie and had a great time. The grounds are excellent and the dog loved exploring; the fireplace and firepit got a lot of use and the kitchen was super well stocked. This is a property where it's clear that the owners have considered all the needs of a holiday house from games to cut firewood and firelighters and a good instructions booklet so you know you're in good hands. The views from the property as you go up the hill are great and the location to the valley; Berry; Shoalhaven heads or the Southern Highlands is terrific. We'd come back for sure, thanks for the great time

Fabulous property in great location

A fantastic place for an escape. Clean, well stocked and comfortable. Good communication from the property managers during the stay with anything that came up. Great pool and also the perfect place to bring your four legged friend. Easy stroll to the Kangaroo Valley shops. Really enjoyed and would love to return!

Amazing house for family holidays, so much to offer, more than we expected! Great home for families of all ages and your furr babies! Was very surprised with the amount of kitchen equipment, utensils and amenities that was available to you! We loved it so much we would of stayed another night!!

Have stayed here previously. An absolute gem in the valley with an amazing private pool and grounds. Perfect getaway!! Only issue is you can tell property is very popular and I felt that the soft furnishings and walls need a spruce up!!

Kookaburra Hill

Kookaburra Hill was warm and relaxing for a winter break. Despite rain most of the weekend, we had a great time and managed to do some bike rides and walks. The house has everything you need and is very comfortable.

Beautiful Property

We loved our 3 nights at Kookaburra Hill. Our family of five - my wife and I, our 9 and 10 yr old daughters and our cavoodle - loved the sprawling property with wide open spaces and beautiful gardens. The house was very well appointed, and our favourite part was sitting around the fire pit at night roasting marshmallows under the starry sky. Highly recommended!

Overall a nice stay

Though the place looked a little different from the photos, it was still a lovely stay. The beds were comfortable and the heating was good, and we particularly enjoyed the indoor and outdoor fire place/pit. We had some issues with the check-in process. The code was never sent to me so we had to call when we arrived, but the door was unlocked and the key was in an opened box. It wasn't very secure so I'm not sure what happened there - perhaps the cleaners left the place open by accident. There wasn't enough toilet paper and no paper towels, so I'd recommend bringing both of those (we ran out of toilet paper on day two). Overall a nice stay. Pretty clean property (some dirty plates etc. in the kitchen cupboards), and the coffee machine is difficult and makes awful coffee. But the negative things were minor, it's a great place for kids, families and friends. One final comment: make sure you bring plenty of food. The options are really limited and we had poor experiences with the local pizza place. The house has a really big fridge and plenty of utensils to cook your own food.

Great property

Our group consisted of my elderly parents with low mobility, my energetic kids and our dog and the property was enjoyed by everyone. Especially our city dog enjoyed the bush area at the back of the house and we felt very secure with the surrounding fencing.

Pure relaxation

We had a lovely relaxing few days at Kookaburra Hill. The house was perfect for our family and doggies who were welcomed. It was spotless and comfortable and we loved the cosy fireplace and outdoor fire pit and the view from the backyard was a amazing. So close to town too. Lots to explore and our boys loved the bush walk right in the backyard. Definitely recommend Kookaburra Hill for a peaceful getaway and quality family time.

We had a wonderful time at Kookaburra Hill, the property is just incredible, beautiful landscaping and so lovely that the pooches could enjoy the weekend too with plenty of room to run around. The kids took complete enjoyment in the pool most of the weekend, with even pool toys supplied to keep them occupied. We enjoyed a quick stroll into town and enjoyed both the indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit. What a great place to stay! Highly recommended.
