The âgravel pathâ is steep without weight sustaining rail - where any rails exist. Upon checking in I immediately informed the host that the cabin was not acceptable to me. Due to some mobility issues. At that I needed help getting luggage back to the automobile. Some hours later he said he just saw the message and asked if I still needed help. I answered I could not leave in the dark on that trail. To make a longer story short he blamed me for not informing him of any mobility issue. I expect a renter to inform the public of potential unsafe conditions. We did arrive at a compromise settlement But he has not followed through.Cleanliness? There were dead wasps on the floor when I arrived and one live one in the room.I rented another place on day twoIâve tried to submit a claim to the travel insurance which I did purchase but have not found info on how to submit a claim
We had a really lovely stay!! Charles is a great host and the property is beautiful. Highly recommend for anyone who doesnât feel like camping but doesn't want to break the bank on a rental. The bed faces the glass sliding doors - perfect for firefly watching as you fall asleep. And the outdoor shower was a lovely bonus!
Also thereâs a great spot for (delicious) breakfast sandwiches and farm market goodies walking distance away!
Only feedback is that the bed frame is kinda squeaky when you roll around which would sometimes stir me or my partner from our sleep.
