The bathroom is very small the toilet was too low to the ground the shower pressure was not good and the step into the shower is dangerous it is pricey for the small room but the staff was very nice and the property was very relaxing the highlight for me was seeing the big lizard every day he was cool

Check-in girl was not friendly. Checkout lady was great! Rustic setting, pier and chairs on the bay for watching the sunsets. No room cleaning if you stay multiple days.

“Resort” is a stretch, this has more of a motel feel. Our room was part of the main building, close to the road, so we did hear highway noise, but there are cottages further back on the property. Room was clean, bedroom & living room were spacious. Whatever they are using on the floors made the tiles quite slippery. Basic amenities, a little dated, but served its purpose. The positive of this property is that it is on the water, great sunset view, nice dock, small beach, but not really usable due to crocodile warnings. Enjoyed the pool, no breakfast included. There are dining options nearby, but you do have to drive everywhere.

No housekeeping during our 3 night stay. Had to leave our towels outside our room for exchange by staff. No restaurant on site, but a tremendous number of choices with a 5 minute drive. On the plus side, free kayak, paddle boat and paddle boards. Pool was extremely clean and heated.

We enjoyed the use of the kayaks on the property. We were able to see dolphin and manatee. We enjoyed seeing the sunsets in the evenings from the pier. Area surrounding the property was comfortable for sitting in lawn chairs in front of the ocean or at the small pool . Our day was very relaxing. Snorkeling was at a nearby environmental state park. There are nearby Pickleball courts for the public. We did just a little biking because the bike path was along the highway And not all that scenic. Restaurants were reasonable and fish was delicious.

An authentic Florida Keys experience

Very clean and nicely appointed. The setting is charming and very much has an authentic “Old Florida “ feel. We didn’t have time to use the pedal boat or kayaks but they looked very inviting.

I loved the location and sunset views! The only thing I really didn't like was there is no ice machine and our cabin didn't have ice trays either. Other than that, the staff were kind, the view and location were great. I was excited to use their kayaks, but the weather did not cooperate! Our cabin had everything we needed. The pool was heated and they provided extra towels as needed. We would stay again.

I don’t know how this place received a 9.2 rating. It was an older small hotel that had tried to update a few years ago. Without the air conditioner on you couldn’t sleep because of road noise. I will never choose a lodging from your site believing the ratings.

Great location but…..

Great location however that’s about it. On check in, I remarked that I hoped our room was nice. I was abruptly told-you have the room you paid for. Room was tired with an overpowering smell of cleaning products. No housekeeping during our stay. Room was sold as ‘pool view’, we couldn’t see out our window due to a tree so no idea what our view was! For the money I am sure there is better, with more pleasant staff and rooms that aren’t so pungent.
