A great location at an affordable price . Perfect for just one night or a guys/girls weekend. Clean carpet but bathrooms need attention and the master bed mattress was terribly soft.
Lovely home, everything was easy and comfortable. Only complaint was the code Vacasa sent didnât open the door but that happens with every Vacasa property. Loved our stay, thank you so much!
This house was clean and well-furnished with what we needed. The only issue we had, which others have had, was getting inside due to the pass code not working. Be prepared to call the number given up on arrival and plan to get in the house using a key thereafter instead of the convenient, but not functioning "key" on the door.
They apparently forgot to change the door code to the code they sent me so it was a bit frustrating to have to stand outside for 15 minutes while you call and have them remedy it when you have an 8 month old fussy after a 10 hour drive and everyone needing to use the restroom. There was someoneâs makeup left there that wasnât picked up but everything was pretty clean overall. We do wish they would have left us more trash bags but we managed.
Also, the sliding glass door wouldnât slide and I had to get my husband to open it for me every time until we finally got it back on its track.
The other issue is that there are so many rules you have to follow that you find out about after booking. We travel frequently and this was probably the most stressful place weâve booked just worrying about accidentally forgetting a rule. Throughout they texted rules which were conflicting with the listing. Oh and be prepared to be redirected to Vacasaâs website after booking because you canât handle everything here on VRBO.
Oh, and you canât doordash food.
For the positives(the saving grace), it has a cute sitting room where you can sit and watch the squirrels play in the trees, the neighborhood is quiet, and itâs about a 3 minute walk to the beach. It says the closest boardwalk is 15 but itâs actually 14. Overall, we had fun and there was enough room for all of us to where we werenât bothering each other. Iâd stay again for the closeness.
Clean Comfortable vacation home in beautiful setting
Our family spent three nights at this vacation home on Kiawah Island. The house was as advertised and shown on the website. Beds and furniture were comfortable, house was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking pans, utensils, etc as well as basic spices, salt, and sugar. Washer and dryer were convenient as well. The only negative experience was upon arrival, we tried to use the key punch code to enter the house and it didn't work. We were able to contact the help support line with Vacasa and they told us to look for key lock box which we finally located. We received a different code and used the key to get into the house. Also, the TV did not work- it kept going to standby mode. We tried to contact the local property manager by leaving text messages. The next day we called the manager and the number wouldn't ring through. We then called Vacasa directly and they told us they would contact the local manager. No one ever got back to us about that. It wasn't a big problem as we really didn't need to use the TV but we would have appreciated hearing from someone while we were there. The property is located in a quiet street and the area is beautiful. The ocean/ beach is a short walk and the area was great for biking ( rentals are easy to organize and bikes were dropped at our rental home). Overall we loved our stay and if we returned I'd be happy to rent the same property.
Liked: great location, close to beach, nice neighborhood, very clean inside, nice linens, well equipped. Disappointments: unable to access property (keypad nonfunctional and kindly neighbor was able to help us get physical key from owner), TV has error code indicating failed circuit board, so also completly nonfunctional, got zero help from Vacasa management who simply sent sympathetic texts.
