We have stayed at the Maui Beach Villas before and had a phenominal experience, but this was - not. The pictured advertisement for the unit clearly shows several lounge chairs and a table on the loggia. We arrived to zero lounge chairs. With ocean views it's where most guests/residents spend a considerable amount of time. It's off season, so after calling the concierge twice during business hours, then spotting an employee collecting towels, I asked if we could borrow a couple from the pool area. The reason I bothered with the details is due to the bizarre call I received the next day from the front desk explaining that guests were now presently at the front desk clammoring to borrow lounge chairs because they saw that we had (really?). She made it clear that they would need to be returned immediately. She eventually backed down after a protracted debate, but honestly left a pretty bad taste. The biggest disappointment about this unit was the lack of disclosure that informs guests that on the other side of the fence, five feet from the unit, is a nightly luau. I uploaded a sample. It's LOUD and goes on for hours. We had trouble having a conversation out back with it going on. We are early risers, and in the early hours, you can hear the garbage being dumped, rakes and blowers as they prepare for the next night's luau. I tried to attach clip but only takes pics. With that being said, we still love the property. Maui Beach Villas is a beautiful place to stay.
