This home is nice. however, my husband and I booked a stay for our wedding night 2 weeks ago. We, unfortunately had a gift bag on the counter that we put near the garbage that we left behind. There was 1000 in gifts in that bag for my spouse that were extremely sentimental. We called right away and asked if they could hold it and we would come back to get it. I felt like I had to chase the host down to get a response and all I got was we found nothing. We also left a black hat box on the bed and there is no way these things did not get seen/ found by housekeeping. Itâs really sad because in the world where people work really really hard honesty is such a gift and I feel like this wasnât the case here. These were very special gifts that meant the world to me and in the chaos of pack packing up they were left behind. I am so upset about it and more upset at the lack of effort and follow up. We immediately followed up and wouldâve driven the two hours back to grab it. It wasnât even like the garbage man had come to take the garbage yet so clearly there was no effort. I hope whoever got these gifts appreciates them and I also hope somewhere in the lack of honesty this person digs deep to find some grace. This is not a cheap place as my husband stayed in it a total of three nights. We also recommend it to 5 of our friends who looked and planned to stay a week that now have decided to stay elsewhere. Itâs so easy to be a decent honest human being. I am so disappointed!!!
