What a delightful stay in this small Inn tucked away in a natural forest.. the Inn was full of artefacts and antiques collected over the years. Such a peaceful place to stay with gorgeous views of the bay from the porch. Linda and Ron were perfect hosts. They even fed the wild deer for us so we were able to see the wildlife close up. Thanks for a lovely stay

Lovely retreat on the water. Close to town but tucked away from the traffic and chaos. Lots of wildlife and very kind and attentive innkeepers.

Disappointed. The property needs a little TLC. Abandoned flower pots greet you at the front entrance along with overgrown trees overlooking the water. The room was clean and comfortable, especially the Tempur-pedic mattress. The toilet runs for 20 minutes each time you use it. Nothing has been upgraded in many years but if you are looking for a quiet place to read a book on the porch, this is the place. It would have been nice to smell coffee brewing in the dining room but not available. Just coffee machine, fruit and stiore bought muffins in the room. I guess I just expected something different based on the pictures and description.

For those looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay, this is a perfect choice. The owners of the property are very kind and welcoming. Check in was very casual and easy, and I enjoyed the views of the sound. They made sure everything was tidy and clean for guests. Very good choice for those who want something different than a hotel stay.

Wonderful!

What a lovely home. Staying there is like something out of a Nicholas Sparks novel. My husband and I stayed a weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience. Do not hesitate to book this unique venue.

This place was a special retreat from all the commercialization of the Kitty Hawk area. It is located in and near one of the few original maritime forests on the island. You could hear all the frogs and crickets singing at night. Each room has a balcony with porch swing, overlooks the water, and has a spectacular sunset view. We would definitely stay here again!!

Friendly helpful staff Wonderful house but the antique furniture in the living areas was not comfortable A little declutterring would make the feel of the areas more inviting and help keep the focus on the Sound The site is lovely and I loved sitting out on the deck off our room and enjoying the view I recommend it for the character of the inn and location and friendly innkeeper
