こちらのお宿にずっと泊まりたくてイギリスから伺いました。希望の部屋風呂つきのお部屋はすでにいっぱいだったのですが、貸切温泉の予約サービスができて満喫できました。お宿の雰囲気は全てが好みで、陰翳礼讃の静かで豊かな時間、日本らしさが大変感じられました。温泉のお湯もなめらかで肌に大変よく、手湿疹が滞在中に綺麗になくなりました。残念ながらイギリスに戻ってきた途端に再発症してしまいました。湯の花など販売していたら買ってきたかったほど私にはあっていました。毎回一時帰国の際には伺いたいお宿です。

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Tocen Goshoboh yesterday and would highly recommend it! We arrived around 2:20 PM, which was over 30 minutes before the official check-in time, but the hotel kindly let us check in early. We booked the Japanese-Style Standard Room with No Shower Room, including breakfast for two, at a very reasonable price of AUD 500. This traditional ryokan has an incredible 800-year history, and you can truly feel the depth of culture in every detail of its design and atmosphere. The Kinsen (golden hot spring) was especially memorable – perhaps because we visited during the off-season, I was lucky enough to enjoy the communal bath all to myself three times during our stay. It was so relaxing and peaceful. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated in a classic Japanese style. We also appreciated the traditional yukata robes provided – a lovely touch that added to the experience. Service was excellent. At check-in, the staff took the time to explain the facilities and house rules thoroughly and with great care. As for breakfast – while not overly abundant, it was thoughtfully prepared and reflected the elegance of traditional Japanese cuisine: simple, healthy, and refined. All in all, we had an exceptional stay. We’d love to return in the future and highly recommend this unique and historic ryokan to anyone visiting Arima Onsen.

My hopes for this property was unexpectedly exceeded. Centrally located in the heart of Arima; friendly and courteous staff; spacious room with surprising amenities; great breakfast; fantastic onsen with steam room. I've been to many great onsen hotels & ryokans in Dogo, Nikko, Kusatsu and Beppu -- and this hotel is very worthy of 5 stars. I will come back again!
