1⭐ Very disappointing and stressful experience
I have stayed in over 1,0000 hotels worldwide, and this was one of the most inconvenient stays I’ve encountered.
When I arrived after a long flight from the United States, I was informed that I could not check in because I am not an Indian citizen and do not have an Indian ID. This restriction was never mentioned during booking.
I asked the hotel staff to help me find any solution or alternative, but they did nothing at all. No assistance, no effort, no responsibility. I lost more than two hours dealing with this situation late at night.
To be fair, Hotels.com did process my refund, even though the booking was made on my phone. I appreciate that.
However, when you travel long distances, sometimes you are willing to pay more just to have a peaceful night, not to be turned away and left to solve the problem alone.
The location is also not good and not really Park Street as advertised. If you plan to stay in this area, I strongly recommend choosing any hotel directly on Park Street, which is far better, safer, and more convenient.
This experience explains the poor reviews this hotel receives. I would not stay here again.
