Quite a unique place - formerly a hostel, now run as an arts space and hotel (great for large families - really economical). Super location in a fascinating, historical but vibrant environment. Simple (yes, really a former hostel with several rooms with bunk-beds), clean, neat array of artwork from different countries, weekly art ateliers, with welcome hosts and a great patio cafe/bar. Filling breakfast available. Worth the visit.
The hotel is in the heart of the Kazimierz district. It is run by a family that is really into art. They let their space for artists for free, and their paintings are all over the place. The family is really friendly and helpful. You can buy beer and other drinks from them and enjoy the yard surrounded by art. Our room was dorm style - bunk beds and a shared bathroom. Everything was clean.
I arrived late and had to wait a bit for my room to be prepared. The owner Natalia gave me a beer while I waited in a cozy backyard and breakfast the next day. She made me feel very welcome, genuinely friendly and service minded. The room was simple but clean and the bed comfortable. Thanks again!:-)
