In our 3 days of stay here our room never got cleaned, neither our towels were changed even though the signs were put outside our room and requested service from reception. We travelled with our 1 y/o so we dealt with diaper & food smell X 3 days. Its no big deal actually, but what totally upset me was when we did our laundry. They only have 3 machines so there was queueing for laundry. I woke up at 5:30 am to make sure no one was there and sure enough I was the only one doing laundry. You can monitor your laundry progress via the TV. When it was about time to pick up our laundry, around 730, I didnt go until about 8 mins after, so 7:38, (I was waiting for husband to get back to our room so he can watch our toddler). When I got to the laundry room someone has already started a new cycle to the machine I used. You cant open the machine until you put the 4 digit codes you set prior to starting your laundry, so I was purely thinking someone mistakenly started a new cycle for our laundry because in my head, Im the only who knows my code. I went to the reception to report it and I was told they can only stop the machine but not able to get our clothes out until drying is finished, which is in another 2 hours. Long story short, the staff took actually out our clothes because another guest reported that my laundry has been sitting in the dryer for >15 mins.Which is not true.It is very upsetting, our laundry has been sitting in the reception the time I went and told nothing about it

In Kyoto, this hotel is one the "5th Ave" while the main shopping district is on the "4th Ave". So it is pretty close to the shopping district, walkable. The hotel is also close to bus stops, subway metro station, and local train station. You can take bus or subway to the main Kyoto station to go to Tokyo or Osaka. The Hotel's breakfast is quite good, and the food items changes on different days, so you can enjoy lots of style of Japanese food.

Staff was very friendly and check in and check out process was easy. Our room was upgraded and it was a little bigger than what we were expecting so that is a plus! They had all the toiletries in the lobby to grab as you needed them. Walking distance to some train stations. My husband and I loved the area and the hotel.

Alojamiento con excelente calidad/precio

A destacar su ubicación, cercano a metro y varias paradas de autobús además de muy cómodo para ir andando a muchos sitios interesantes de la ciudad: Gion, Pontocho, Kiyomizudera... Los empleados de recepción fueron muy serviciales, amables y dispuestos siempre a ayudar. El tamaño de la habitación justo, como en la mayoría de alojamientos de Japón. Sin embargo, estuvimos 3 noches y fue más que suficiente para descansar. Estancia totalmente recomendada.

Okay experience. Hotel staff not as good as previous experiences. Charged us a hefty luggage disposal fee to get rid of our broken luggage that was damaged while being delivered to the hotel (2000 yen). Location is okay, limited dining options. Subway station is about a 10min walk from the hotel.
