This house was perfect! It was super clean and well stocked, it had everything we needed and even additional perks like coffee/creamer and snacks! The host was easy to work with and check in was a breeze and the checkout was super easy where we were not required to do a ton before we left!
The owners were super accommodating for my wedding day. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a vintage stay! Its so cool that all of the bedrooms have their own bathroom!
Everything was great! Plenty of space for all of us. What we did miss was things we have had in other VRBOs such as paper towel, paper plates, tin foil etc... basic kitchen supplies. So be sure to pack all of that type of stuff. Other than that it was a really beautiful place
The kitchen was well equipped, though only one larger fry pan was a little disappointing. We really appreciated that you had wine glasses! The one drawback was the "fireplace" bedroom had an issue where none of the outlets worked and that mattress was not good--very soft and bouncy.
This was the perfect location for our group. It was clean, spacious and the kitchen was well stocked. The host was friendly and got back to us quickly when we had questions.
We loved the historic beauty of the house, very unique. Unfortunately there were a number of homeless people on the same street, sad situation. The property and home has quite the charm though and a museum quality feel with modern comfortable touches.
The house exceeded our expectations! It was beautifully restored and it was fun to view all the pictures and items of years gone by. Enjoyed reading about the history of the place.Perfect location. We walked to many of our events. Will definitely book this place next time we're in Lacrosse!!
Everything was great for us, we needed a place to stay for one night and thought why not try something other than a hotel. We enjoyed looking at the history of the house and how it came back to life. Obviously, it was much more than two people needed, but it was nice to stay in such a grand place. The kitchen had everything we needed. The location was great, we lived in the La Crosse area for 20 years so it was nice to be back.
We were planning to tour the Lacrosse campus with our two daughters and thought why not make the trip a little more fun and stay in this historic building. It was a very cool building. A few areas of the house that could use a little better cleaning, but the beds were very comfy, the kitchen had all you could need and it easy to check in and out.
We are 4 women in our eighties who have been friends since grade school. We take an annual 4 day trip each summer. This year we wanted to learn about the Driftless area of southern MN and WI. The mansion in La Crosse was the perfect home base for exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay at the Cargill-Pettibone mansion. Lots of room and nice accommodations. We would definitely recommend it to a larger group.
Very nice property with lots of historical significance. Great to have en suite for each bedroom, beautiful large porch to recap the day and plan for tomorrow over a glass of wine, nice kitchen and lots of room to spread out. We enjoyed our stay!
