Balcony view was wonderful. Problems started immediately. There was a non-working Keurig coffee maker and no supplies or even cups or glasses for drinking water. The towels were tiny, not at all in keeping with what is expected in an average hotel. The soap was just gross, it smelled awful. The furniture is old and worn, the carpeting worn and stained and the bedding, while clean, was of low quality. We found out only after calling the desk (it was unattended the entire time of our stay) that coffee only (no tea) was available 2 levels down stairs. There was no notice anywhere of the coffee/cups location. The entrance is not marked by any lighting and getting in and out is VERY dangerous as it is located on a fast curve on a busy road. All in all, we felt like the owner doesn't take pleasing their customer to be very important. We so looked forward to staying at Belknap Pt Inn, but our stay was very disappointing. It just felt like they really didn't give 2 hoots and they are absentee owners.
First, I will say that the room that I booked is not the room that was in the picture. I booked a lakefront room with a kitchenette. I got a standard room with a balcony, no microwave a college dorm size fridge with dirty carpet carpets and I had to drive to get to the water. The ice machine was broken. I had to ask for the keys twice when they told me they were on the bed. This place is not managed very well. You get what you pay for I guess. The view and the shower was amazing, but thatâs it.
