Don't use the elevator

I'm pretty sure Patrick Henry's first draft said, "Give me liberty, or give me a stay at the Lafayette Days Inn!" We got stuck in the elevator. I called and asked multiple times if they could get us out but they kept asking for my email address so they can add me to the rewards program. When I was finally able to get to the front desk, the guy said that sometimes the elevator stops, but they can restart it with the circuit breaker and if that doesn't work, they can call the fire department. He assured me that this is "normal." Since we obviously used the stairs for the rest of our stay, we parked near the side doors and discovered that none of them close all the way. One of the other rooms on our floor had a chunk of wood broken off the outside of its door. The shower head was the same exact one I had in my house...30 years ago, and it clearly had never been cleaned. The toilet randomly flushed on its own, and there was hair all over the bathroom floor. The towels had brown stains on them. The 80-grit wash cloths could come in handy if they cared to fix the big hole in the drywall that was obviously caused by the bathroom door handle. I joked that breakfast will probably be liquid or powdered eggs, but even that proved to be an unrealistically high expectation. There were no eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles, bagels, toast, muffins, etc. There was sliced bread and cereal. I'm sure there is a lot more that we didn't discover during our short stay, this place is bad.

This hotel is disgusting. It’s old and outdated. Bathroom faucet is old and rusty. Cracks in the floor tiles and doesn’t look clean at all. The room across from our room had there tv on very loud the entire night. That room needed a warfare check because there is no way someone could sleep in a room with the tv so loud. I would never stay at this hotel again.

For a quick overnight stay just to sleep and shower in the morning it was great for the price. You couldn’t call what they had out for food in the morning “breakfast” though. It was basically cereal and juice. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it was quiet from 10p-6a.

First of all the microwave in the room had to been over ten years old. The TV was propped up against the wall. The sensors on elevator doors were faulty. They would try to close with you entering the elevator. If you are looking from inside the room at the door there was at least a two to three inch space all around. You can literally see the hall lights shining in all around the door. The towels need to be rebought. They were dingy and folded to look like they were clean but when you opened them up you saw all the dirt and stains that did not come out. The whole place is outdated. The lobby smells good but the rooms did not. No closet to hang clothes. Two pegs on a back board to hang clothes against. It did not match the pics on website. Some room doors look like they had been struck with an ax. Damage to doors.

The hotel looks nothing like the pictures. The lobby is filty, old with rusted furniture. The room was worse. There was a huge brown stain on the sheets. The tub was covered in rust around the faucet area and the tub had not been cleaned. The whole place made me itch. I also saw the waffle batter machine on the same table with the laundry..that is so unsanitary. I was very disappointed in this location.

I wouldn’t say breakfast is included. The breakfast area had stale muffins, no toast , no cereal and a mini fridge with a bottle of apple juice and milk. The bed was comfortable however, the room itself needed an update and as there were stains on the walls and towels were yellow.

Lobby smells of pot, vent covers in Lobby falling apart, elevator is very sketchy. Room had parts of carpet missing, bathroom vanity cracked, shower head had some kind of growth on it. We left a day early.
