I am a local. I assumed it would be a great place to stay with my boyfriend from out of town. Boy was I wrong. Was not told about weather or not they had breakfast. Still not sure if they did. Had no clue where the ice machine was. It was a room in the cabins the reception guy said. Which was fine. As we entered I noticed dirt on the floors. They were hardwood. Only 2 pillows for a queen bed. Usually there are more. Bathroom was very gross. Dirt on the floor and metal but washer just sitting on the floor. The tub was very dirty and looked old. The drain in the sink was gross you could see the scum build up. Only had 2 towels one hand towel and 2 washcloths. No phone no clock. Thank god we had our phones. The tv remote was sticky and the end table plug was sticky. First night was quiet, second night on the other hand was very loud. Our neighbor had a dog. We love dogs. But being woke up from a dog barking very loud if annoying. Someone slamming their door so hard it shook your room. If it had happend after the third time I was going to call the front desk. But it stopped so I assumed something was done about it. The second evening I noticed big ants in the bathroom. We didn’t have any food out so not sure where they came from. Last day there when I woke up to get ready to leave there was an ant on my phone. Which was on the end table. Gross. Online it said daily housekeeping. When we returned in the evening the second night the room wasn’t touched.

It says it offers breakfast it doesnt. The railings where wobbly and unsteady. I was over charged 100 dollars. The room was small dirty and smelled. I wouldn't recommend or go back.

What I didn’t like about the hotel. The ice machine didn’t work at all. Group of staff smoking weed outside my room (218) and talking until late at night. Pool wasn’t open even though it’s stated outdoor pool especially during Memorial Day weekend.

it was our first time visiting the area (i looked at lots of options around the lake george & saratoga springs area), and we couldn’t be happier that we picked the howard johnson at lake george. long story short - this place was everything we could’ve asked for, including an affordable price point. we had easy access to multiple restaurants, gift shops, and even the lakeside within minutes of a walk towards the main street. the staff were a pleasure to interact with, including those at the front desk and the housekeepers. the day we left, the housekeeper was cleaning the room adjacent to ours since those guests checked out early that morning. we crossed paths while packing our car when she asked if we could hear any noise through the walls (we didn’t), and told us she did her best to flip the room quietly so that she didn’t disturb us. i was blown away by her compassion for her guests and the effort she clearly puts in to ensure her guests enjoy their stay. highly recommend!

Overall it suited our purpose. Unruly individuals yelling and talking loud at 3am. No ice machine, no tissues in the room, no tv guide pamplet and terrible tv reception. Staff was wonderful.

I have stayed here over the last five years eveytime I come into town. Always clean and comfortable. Staff is very helpful with qurstiins and needs. Close enough to the shops to walk. Just LOVE it all!

Great value for the location and price. There seemed to have recently renovated or made additions to the rooms, it had all the basics. TV worked well, but only the most basic channel, there was Wifi but it didn't work on the TV for some reason. The AC in one room was really loud making it a bit difficult to sleep, but the bed was comfy. Front desk attendant was pleasant and helpful. It's a good place for a short stay or something more budget friendly.
