BE AWARE OF THIS “RESORT”!! We booked this hotel 2 months before our trip and when we booked it was $367/night and there was an alert that said there were only two rooms left at this “hotel”. The week before our trip, we looked at the site to see the amenities offered at this “resort” and found the rooms were selling at $167/night! That’s a $200/night difference! When I asked the staff about the price discrepancy when I checked in, they stated there was nothing they could do and they wouldn’t upgrade our room. On top of the ridiculous price difference this is a MOTEL not a hotel with each room having a door to the outside. Our room was located on top of the large hill with a view of the parking lot. The room was very small and was cooled only by a window AC unit. The temperatures during our stay reached the upper 90s so the moment someone took a shower, the room was muggy and hot! To call this place a resort is a joke! The only difference between this MOTEL and a shabby Motel 6 is the overcrowded pool and very small “private” lakefront. LOOK AROUND FOR BETTER PLACES BEFORE YOU BOOK! We will not be staying here again!

Scotty’s has a beautiful lake side property. I have been to numerous resorts and this resort is superior. Everything on the main strip is walkable, the resort has a massive beach along with water craft rentals, and there is numerous activities/games to play in the beach. Also to mention they have a lakeside bar and pool. Do not hesitate to book a stay at Scotty’s, it was a amazing time!

Fourth of July Family Trip to Lake George

Resort was a good place to stay as first time visitors to Lake George. The onsite activities available including water sport rentals were nice. The cleaning service crew came by every day to swap out towels and make up the beds which was great. The cafe is ok to grab a bite to eat or snack when you don’t want to walk or drive into the Lake George village. Our room floor was slanted which made the bed and dressers slanted. Wasn’t horrible but could definitely tell when we went to bed. We had to sign a contract that we would not smoke in our room but that didn’t stop our neighbors and other guests from smoking all over the resort (including by the pool and lake) and on front porches. My kids did not like walking out our front door to the smell of marijuana all day every day. Excellent view of the fireworks show on Fourth of July. Didn’t have to fight the crowds in the Village for a viewing spot. Would have been nice if the resort hosted some 4th of July activities. Overall, we had a good time at the resort!

Great for families

We had a great last minute stay at Scotty’s. Our kids (7,5) really enjoyed their time as did we. Rooms (2 queens) were on the smaller side but very clean and adequate for our family. About 1 mile into town, walkable if you’re adventurous lol. The grounds were clean and well taken care of. Would definitely go back!
