The reason we booked to stay at this house was because of the âgame roomâ basement. Upon arrival, the basement had fans running (meaning someone was aware of the problem) and there was about an inch of standing water. I contacted the owners right away and was told someone would come out and fix the problem (that never happened). By the end of the weekend there was about 10 inches of water in the basement. After multiple attempts to fix the problem, we were finally promised late checkout and a partial refund. After that message, I didnât hear anything back about the refund or late checkout, so neither of those promises were fulfilled. Still waiting for a response.
The place was super cute and had all the amenities we were looking for. I would recommend a better cleaning service. The stove had a spray all over that that seems like it was forgotten to be taken off. And the fridge smelled very bad. The heat in the basement was non existent and it was hard to figure out the heaters. Aside from that our stay was very nice and comfortable.
Nice area snuggled in the woods! Close by to stores and attractions. We did coaster ride at camelback, saw geological wonder, Boulder Lake, walked to Hawks Falls, a beautiful waterfall. The cabin has a hot tub we enjoyed after a day of outing! We also enjoyed playing downstairs where the cabin provided a pool table, ping-pong table, foosball table ,t.v! What more could a person want? Oh yeah, 2 firepits we used every night!
i really debated between 3 and 4 stars for this lovely property. it was exactly what our family needed for a last minute getaway. it was relaxing, the home was beautiful, the outdoors was amazing. the kids had a great time but too many times during my stay i was frustrated to have issues with no way to contact anyone. i would definitely hesitate to rent again from a management company althought i dont know if they are all the same. In the past, i have always rented from private people who were down the block and available for any questions or concerns. here there was only an 800 number and someone saying, "i'm so sorry you are having trouble..someone will contact you.". I got one call back 12 hrs after my issue during my entire stay.
i see vrbo limits me from detailing all the issues so lets just say in short: no info posted about the home, including how to connect to wifi, no contact number for someone local, partial blackout each morning with incorrect directions to electrical box from 800 service, hot tub right next to back door on stone patio led to puddles and water tracked into kitchen but i could not find a mop or rag anywhere to clean up and 800 number could not provide any help.
this home lacked the human hospitality touch we have always relied one when issues cropped up at other homes!
