Cute little cabin on a lovely property. We stayed to get away from 4th of July fireworks because our dog is scared of them and we didn't hear a single one! It was very peaceful! Clean, organized, and well stocked. Great instructions and information.
This cabin was exactly what I was looking for. Itâs in âthemiddleofnowhereâ 1 1/2 mi down a sand rd off the main hwy in Landers. Here the desert is gridded with these rds, some more passable than others. Back in the day this was a homesteaded area where you got 5 acres and required to build a dwelling at least 400sq ft. This was one of those, I think. The outside looks a bit weather worn but the inside is as cute and functional as can be with everything you need. Know that it def is not the Ritz but absolutely the best if youâre looking for quiet, secluded solitude w/ all the amenities (good wifi, Sat TV, nicely stocked kitchen & bath) The owner was friendly and great at communicating every bit of info you could need. I think this place was the best part of my stay. Exploring JT National park and the whole area was wonderful but returning to our cabin to sit outside with a coffee or beer to listen to the wind and watch the sunset was like âAhhhhhh..â
This quiet cabin met all of my needs as a single person needing a meditative desert healing retreat. The cabin is set up in such a way that you feel totally at home and feels personal enough as if it's your own little hideaway. The location is great as it is truly 'out in the desert' yet just a short yet 'desert open view' ride into town. Stars & Solitude all the way. The owner has put a lovely personality to the space complete with twinkle lights...what more can one ask for? Annalee was Best and attentive Host! Highly recommend.
I went for a weekend alone to see the Perseid meteor shower. Beautiful desert surrounds this property. The sky gave me a daytime lightning show and a nighttime meteor show. The house doesn't look like much on the outside but is clean and adorable on the inside. Comfy bed and everything I needed!
Cowboy Cabin isnât much to look at on the outside, but is as cute as a button inside! It was also plenty clean; and had everything we needed for our trip to visit The Integratron. Our only real challenge was that the AC had not been turned on prior to our arrival (which we felt it shouldâve been); and it was WAY too hot to be in there! So after driving across the desert to get there, and looking forward to relaxing for an afternoon nap, we instead unloaded into the heat, turned on the AC, and had to leave and drive around in the air-conditioned car for hours until it cooled off enough to go in( and thereâs really nowhere to go or much to do in the area spur of the moment because it IS remote! That was a bit of a disappointment that cost us half of our first day there; and even the first night in the cabin was still quite warm to sleep comfortably (we arrived right at 3 pm) on those âcozyâ jersey sheets. And Iâm no âprincess and the pea,â but felt that important detail could have been handled better. So, be forewarned that the AC works greatâŠit just takes a long time to cool the space when itâs really hot outside. By our first morning there it was fine though; and everything else was just great.
Seriously, the place IS charming; and itâs obvious the owner has paid attention to the vibe. There are no wine glasses, so bring your own if you want them. (Weâd come back if AC is turned on in advance of check in!)
Don't let the outside fool you. The inside is super clean and so adorable. A friend and I stayed here because it was close to integratron (which is a MUST)... The skies were incredible, there were no clouds so you can see stars up on stars up on stars, so gorgeous. We visited at the end of July so the weather was perfect to sit outside with a light jacket. We are definitely coming back here again when we go to integratron.
Communication with the owner was great, she responds quickly once booked and makes sure you received the welcome email. We were very impressed how organized the place was and how clean it was.
Nice desert retreat with my 2 kids. Everything was as described. Near-total isolation was a real change of pace. Integretron is worth a stop, even if you.re not paying for the sound bath.
First, Iâm thankful and grateful to Annaleeâs Communication and Kindness for being very thorough with directions to the property. I was able ti use regular iPhone Maps just fine. But; definitely DRIVE SLOWLY once get into the dirt road! Especially if youâre arriving at night.
This spot was mainly used for my group and I to sleep at while attending Coachella weekend! So, Iâll be honest itâs not going to be the craziest or most luxurious, but it got the job done for what we needed. So if you need a cheaper place within the JT area or maybe plan going somewhere else Nearby, then this will get you by.
Overall, property was as described. Instructions were very clear (least to me they were), and Annalee was very kind and accommodating. Thank you again, Annalee!
Communication was great with the property. Owner was prompt, and answered every question it was very clean and lots of details were provided to help improve our stay. Enjoy being outside of the city area to help with some of our stargazing.
The location was so peaceful and beautiful. We stayed four days and never saw a car drive by. We could hear the wind blowing through the creosote and an occasional rooster crowing. Otherwise it was quiet. If you want solitude, this is the place. The cowboy cabin is comfortable and the decor is fun! We slept very well on a good bed. The shower water heated immediately which was nice because we were there in the winter. We used the kitchen for cooking and everything worked.
Stargazing was one of the reasons we chose this location and we were not disappointed. The milky way was visible and several constellations. Just beautiful. This was a wonderful retreat and we hope to return soon.
