I will forego the flowery review as i would be repeating what others have said. In short, this is a wonderful cottage in a country/farm setting that is both comfortable and cute. Yes, chickens roam free. I will comment on my stay with my adult disabled son. Anna took the time to take measurement so that we knew well in advance what limitations he may have with his wheelchair. This was invaluable and above and beyond. My son is a T5 complete and this cottage suited his needs very well. It had hard floors, beds with space on the side for his chair making transferring easy. The kitchen sink is perfectly positioned for him to get water and brush teeth etc. There is one short step to reach the walkway (the size of a curb) which was easy to negotiate with a little help. The French doors made access into the cottage easy and there was plenty of room to maneuver. The only tight spot was the bathroom which required us to remove one wheel from his chair in order to access the toilet. Once past the sink, it was an easy transfer to and from the toilet. A slightly smaller chair (teen or youth perhaps) would likely be able to access everything. The shower has a bench and a tiny curb for the pan.I wanted to include this because it's a wonderful cottage and if you have a friend or family member that has accessibility needs, i would whole heartedly look at this property.v/r, Chip
Easy check in and immaculate place. It's just outside of Fort Collins in a quiet part of town. It's in an extremely convenient spot for hiking or going into town to eat.
House was very cute and clean. Second bedroom was not what I would consider a second bedroom at all, it was more of a utility room sort of off of the bedroom and didnât have any sort of window or separate entrance (you had to go through the small âbedroomâ to even get to the other one).
Lovely guest house. The only weird thing is that you have to walk through the small bedroom to get to the large bedroom. It's only a problem if you have a teenage girl that takes forever to get dressed :)
Cute property with lots of chickens in front of building. It was very conveniently located near Me Oh My Pie and our training. But a few things weren't quite right. The second bedroom wasn't really a bedroom, but more of a utility room with a twin bed in it. You had to go through that room to get to the master bedroom with the queen bed. We were cold the entire time there and had a hard time adjusting the heat. I woke up cold and had to put on my coat because the bed only had a very thin blanket. We didn't find the additional blankets until the next morning because they were stored in the living room. (This is a bit on us but perhaps they could be stored in the bedrooms so it's obvious.) The bathroom had a rotating fan instead of a vent, which doesn't remove the moisture.
We had an easy one night stay. The property is exactly as described and the chickens were the best part (in our opinion). Exactly what we were looking for.
I was impressed with the whole scene. The place was clean clean, we loved the chickens and the dogs such a friendly atmosphere. Our host was very friendly very helpful and just a genuine nice person. The small town of La Porte was awesome. Restaurant and gas station right down street and grocery store right across street. This place definitely gets ten out of ten great place to stay
Laporte is just outside of Fort Collins and this property makes for a quick drive to many activities. It was clean, with a well stocked kitchen. There is a grocery store across the street. The owner has friendly dogs and chickens. We really enjoyed the location.
The host/family were extremely welcoming and friendly! Location was perfect for us being so close to Ft. Collins and the state park. Home was clean and a good size with alot of items provided. I would definitely recommend.
Also, our car had a million bugs in the grill and their chickens did a fantastic job detailing đ
