For the price we paid to stay at the Rio I expected much better. Several times it well over 15 minutes to get hot water in our room. Several times the television had a blank screen and had to be unplugged and plugged back in several times. Finally the food options at the Rio were extremely overpriced.

We were very pleased with our King Suite however our bathroom could of used a vanity with better lighting our family had issues with their room and the hotel was very quick and accommodating by moving them to another room overall it was a great hotel.

Rio is still getting their feet

Ive been a patron of the Rio since its heyday in the 2010's. While I know its under new management, but I was disappointed with the minimal to no late night dinning options. Vegas is known for being able to eat at 1am or later after gambling, drinking and partying....there was none of that. Also, every time I went to get a players card the line was massively long....so I ended up gambling and not getting any rewards while staying there. The pool is nice, but more shade is needed for the regular folks who cant afford a cabana. There was one clearly drunk fellow at the pool and there was no one who kept him in check. The room I had in the Impanema tower was renovated and I ejoyed it. Just wish the refrigerator was colder. The new set up of the room was great with the L-shaped sofa. I liked table to eat in the room as well. Gambling at the bar was ok....the bartender was upfront about letting me know what was expected of the ammount I put in and bet to get a free drink. But I remember the old days when you put in money and before you really played the bartender would ask you what you wanted to drink. I hope that the Rio improves because it was always a favorite of mine to stay and I want to give it another chance.

The newly remodeled Rio is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were way and beyond my expectations. The pool was amazing.

I had initially booked a stay in one tower, but I was moved to a different one. Instead of a 1-bedroom, I received a 2-bedroom unit. They waived the resort fee, which I appreciated, but things took a turn for the worse that night. The tower appeared very old and dirty. Anyone could access any floor, and I even saw a homeless person sleeping next to the elevator on my floor (31000). The doors wouldn't close completely, and there sink was leaking water the whole time, and the air conditioning wasn't working. It did not feel like a hotel/resort, it felt like a ship motel.

One of the wall light's base is broken in my room. There is an empty rack for body wash in the shower. When I asked for body wash they told me they only have soap but no body wash.

Never staying here again

Dirty. Stained carpets. Mold in shower tub. Trash in hallways. All drains clogged and drains very slowly. People being noisy in the hallways at ALL hours of the night. People fighting in the hallways at 5:30 AM. Called security, and they said security was already at the scene, but the people kept fighting and screaming for ten more minutes. People smoking in the hallways, so the smoke came into the rooms even though we were in a non smoking room. Half the hotel/ casino is empty. This is not a great place. The only reason we stayed here was due to how cheap the rates are compared to the other hotels. But there's a reason why it's so cheap here. Never staying here again.

Tired. Quality of management has gone down.

Condition of buildings at walk up from garage was filthy. Trash littered the grounds. Very difficult to find correct elevator. My instructions were: go past Starbucks. Directional signage is poor.

Okay so…I’m coming here every year with my staff for a big convention. We usually have 3-4 rooms and every year I upgrade mine to a suite. This year I upgraded mine via expedia. At check in I was told my room isn’t upgraded and I have to pay them if I want a bigger room. I thought “okay…whatever…I’ll deal with expedia when I get back”. Here comes the kicker. After the convention I get the folio and they upgraded ALL rooms without my say so or authorization!!! I now have over $2,000 in upgrade fees I didn’t want or ordered!!! And guess what…they refuse to refund. Let’s see what the organizers of the Convention and other guests have to say.
