I did not like the "door closers" . I think they need to be adjusted so that the doors don't close so hard and cause a loud bang. The majority of people who leave their room early in the morning, or return late, do not care if they disturb their neighbors. I wish the hotel would put up a sign on inside of door. "PLEASE CLOSE DOOR GENTLY"

For being my first time here I had a horrible experience checking in. Front desk reception had an attitude after I asked a simple question to her. Also once we got our keys to our room, we walked into a room smelling like smoke when they specifically said no smoking room, bed sheets that were stained and the toilet seat had stains from it not being properly cleaned. I went back down stairs to talk to the receptionist about switching rooms because the room was unacceptable to stay in. I was able to talk to the night supervisor requesting if it was possible to switch rooms and her response was very rude to where she rolled her eyes after I had made that request. She had asked another worker to assist us because clearly it was a bother to her that she couldn't assist us.

Charlie saved the day!

I tried to check in at 6:30pm and was told my room wasn't ready AND the room with a King size bed that I reserved weeks ago was no longer available, so I would be getting a room with two queen size beds. I was told that I would receive a call or text from the front desk when my room was ready. I waited over 90 minutes with no call or text, so I went into the VIP registration area and asked to see the front desk Manager. I spoke with Charlie who was working the VIP registration desk and Charlie saved the day! My room had been ready for sometime, so Charlie checked me in. If it weren't for Charlie, I would have been extremely upset and probably never stayed at the Palms again. Thank you Charlie!
