Enjoyed our one night stay, property is older, but reasonably maintained. We ate in the bistro because it was there, but the food was good pub fare and the service very good. Staff seemed very pleasant and helpful during all interactions.

The location is perfect for us. Also the last two times we stayed, we were on ground floor, which is good for us as there are no lifts. When we checked out the first time the receptionist was happy to book us a similar room. We appreciated this. All in all very happy and would gladly recommend this hotel.

Such an icon to Launceston! Neat, tidy ok for a night! But the rooms are a bit tired. Even though they're old, a few small updates can help to freshen things up. One of our bathrooms was very pokey, and difficult to move around. The toilet roll was out of reach too. The bedding and towels are crisp and white. Good heating, and good mini bar options. Kettle and tea/coffee in the room. Parking was tight. Looking forward to the finish of the new part being completed. Looking good so far! ...

Highly recommend the King Room (no. 222) as it has lots of space and two walls of windows giving lots of lovely light, including a bay window.
