Small 18th century manor, close to Deauville

Between sea and countryside, in a pretty protected village in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, this 18th century manor, very comfortable and cozy, can accommodate up to 12 people.
It's made of :
Ground floor: entrance, living room with fireplace, dining room with large fireplace and 3 high chairs for children, kitchen, office and WC.
Floors:
- 4 double bed rooms with private bathroom and WC (one with shower)
- 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds (4 beds) with bathroom and WC (baby cot on request)
- 1 linen room (washing machine, dryer, sink for soaking, ironing board and iron),
- 1 games room.
The recently renovated kitchen is very well equipped: induction hob, fridge, oven, microwave, dishwasher, freezer, kettle, coffee maker, toaster and, of course, all the necessary dishes and utensils etc ...
The house is surrounded by a very large private garden at the end of which is the parking lot (4 cars). In this garden is a wooden portico for children with swings, ladder, knot rope and slide. At the back, a flowery garden furniture with large table, chairs, deckchairs and deckchairs and a barbecue.

The price indicated does not include the tourist tax which is 0.50 € / adult / night and the rental of sheets and towels: 12 € per person

Normandy Tour

The owner of the house is very welcoming. The property was beautifully manicured. The house felt like home for a week. It was very charming and cozy. Great kitchen to cook in. Our family spent many hours in the courtyard outside the kitchen. It is a perfect place for a family to enjoy the beauty of The French countryside.

Excellent stay in Normandy countryside

Bas Mesnil is a beautiful property near Pont L'Eveque a lovely old Norman town. Rosenn was an excellent host, very good communication throughout and was there to welcome us at arranged time. Nothing was too much trouble and she solved a problem we had immediately. Manor house was very spacious and had everything we needed and more. Located in a peaceful and tranquil setting yet close by to the coast, lovely villages and chateaux. Thank you Rosenn for letting us enjoy your lovely home, we would highly recommend it and would visit again in the future

Wonderful charming French home with perfect location

We had a wonderful stay in Normandie at this home, beautiful place and excellent location. We had to check-in a little bit later than expected due to a storm the night before but, even if that was the case, the house was in perfect condition. The house has the authentic french charm, I wouldn’t go anywhere else if I would go to vacation in Normandie again. The location is perfect to go and visit Trouville-sur-Mer, Deauville., Honfleur the WE2 sites and several other historical sites. The check out time is 10:00 am which is a little bit too early to make sure you leave such a big house clean and tidy, it took us an additional 20 minutes to tidy up so my recommendation is to tidy up the night before so that you can check out by 10:00 AM sharp. Thanks for renting us your home!

Ausgangspunkt zum 80. D-Day Jubiläum

Das Haus war wie beschrieben - ein antikes Schätzchen in einem herrlichen Garten. Aber Küche und Bäder waren modern. Dass es noch Probleme mit der Modernisierung der Stromanlage gibt, hat uns nicht gestört. Wir hatten viel Platz und unsere Jeeps standen neben Transportern und Traylern gut und sicher. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Wir waren zwar meistens unterwegs. Eigentlich war es schade, dass wir nicht mehr Zeit hier verbringen konnten. Hier kann man sich gut erholen und entspannen. Das Haus war zwar für unsere Ziele etwas abgelegen, aber es hat uns trotzdem sehr gut gefallen. Die Kommunikation mit madame Barrou war Spitze , sie hat uns bei der Vorbereitung gut unterstützt. Vielen Dank für einen wunderschönen Urlaub.

Lovely stay

My family and I had a lovely stay at the property. The house is beautiful with lots of history. Everything was great but it we would have appreciated the downstairs toilet to be functional with a full house of people. Also, a suggestion would be to have a mirror at the end of the driveway to help to see oncoming cars when exiting the property onto the road.

Maison à la campagne près de Deauville

La propriétaire a été très rapide pour répondre à mes questions. C'est une personne charmante et très accueillante qui avait préparé des petits cadeaux d'accueil forts appréciés. Lit de bébé, table à langer, salle de jeux,. Attention pas de chaise haute prévue pour bébé de 1 an.

Une maison de famille chaleureuse dans un écrin de verdure

Un lieu idéal pour se retrouver en famille. Rien ne manque depuis la cuisine contemporaine bien équipée jusqu'à la lingerie XL. Les enfants ont apprécié le portique et les BD, les parents le coin repas extérieur à l'abri du vent et ensoleillé le midi.

Nous étions 4 couples d amis avec en tout 3 enfants. La maison est pleine de charme et est idéale pour un séjour entre amis ou famille même les deux ... au calme, réveillé par les oiseaux et en même temps proche de tout : Plages du débarquement, Caen, honfleur, ... il y a vraiment de quoi faire et la maison est très bien équipée. Chacun son intimité De supers souvenirs !

Wundreschöne Aufenthalt

Schönes Haus voller Geschichte. Sehr ruhiger und malerischer Ort. Einrichtung des Hauses ist perfekt. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. Herzlicher Empfang bei Madame Barrou. Da wir am Sonntag ziemlich spät angekommen sind und keine Gelegenheit hatten das Lebensmittel einzukaufen war der Willkommenskorb mit lokalen Produkten von madame Barrou die richtige Rettung für uns. Einige Abende waren regnerisch und wir verbrachten sie am Kaminfeuer. Wir wurden freundlicherweise von unserer Gastgeberin mit Brennholz versorgt. Herzlichen Dank Madame Barrou. Alles war einfach wundervoll. Es ist echt schade, dass wir nur 5 Tage hier geblieben sind. Ich haffe das wir wieder kommen.

Enchanteur !

Voici un lieu rare, exceptionnel, plein de charme pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis dans un cadre superbe et très calme, et de surcroît, très bien situé pour visiter le pays d'Auge. Véritable petit manoir familial et authentique, dont on peut rêver, confortable et parfaitement équipé jusque dans les moindres détails, d'un entretien et d'une propreté remarquables. Ici, tout est pensé par la propriétaire (elle-même charmante, prévenante et discrète) pour assurer à ses hôtes un séjour agréable et enchanteur ! nous recommandons vivement, ne pas hésiter ! Superbe séjour trop court

Nous avons passé un très bon moment dans cette charmante et spacieuse maison, bien meublée et equipée. Plutôt dehors que dedans car le soleil était au rendez-vous. Nous avons cependant pu profiter de la chaleur de la cheminée pour les fins de soirées un peu fraiches. Merci à madame Barrou pour son accueil.

A perfect place to experience the many delights of France.

We had the pleasure of renting Mme. BARROU'S wonderful home for 3 weeks. We were a party of 5 from the States with 5 additional friends from France. Mme. Barrou is so gracious and helpful that by the time we arrived in Le Mesnil sur Blangy I felt as if we were old friends meeting again instead of meeting for the first time. The house is exceptional. The kitchen is fully equipped and laid out really well. The kitchen has easy access to the back patio and the dining room which makes food delivery efficient and easy. The dining room has a large table with seating for 8 to 10. There is a huge fireplace which easily heated the dining room on chilly October evenings. The is a small powder room on the main floor. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the house. When all 10 of us were in the house we never felt cramped. The house is beautifully decorated reflecting the warmth of Mme. BARROU. The outside gardens are wonderful. We were within walking distance of a nice restaurant. A car is absolutely necessary. A 5 minute drive to Blangy le Chateau for croissants in the morning was a good way to start the day. A 10 minute drive to Pont L'Eveque provided additional shops and restaurants along with at least 3 additional bakeries. The entire Normandy area is within your reach when you stay at Le Bas Mesnil. We had a marvelous stay and highly recommend Mme. BARROU's home. As a side note we spend 3 weeks in France every 2 years. We have rented homes since 2004 and this was one of our best vacations.
