The cottage is tidy and cute, but the best thing about it is the gorgeous view from 2 sides. There is a flattened lot next door, and next to that a pretty wrecked house, but we looked the other way and focused on the stunning lake in front of us and the view of the little park on the other side.
We really enjoyed the parks nearby, with lots of walking trails, and we loved the town of Leamington and the very nice beach.
The only things on the negative side - and they were minor for us -
- There were big black ants, probably from the very pretty willow tree hanging over the house. We didn't see any in the bedrooms, and were very careful not to leave any crumbs or food out.
- The back door next to the big picture windows was stuck shut, so we had to go around from the kitchen to get to the patio - not a big deal.
- The instructions for using the TV are hilariously sun faded (it took two of us and an iphone flashlight to solve the mystery) and it'll instruct you to use a Netflix account that doesn't exist anymore.
- There's no paved walk or path from the parking pad to the door, so it was awkward dragging luggage across the lawn.
None of the negatives were enough for me to give our stay anything less than 5 stars. It was perfect for us, calming, beautiful, peaceful, clean, and perfectly located.
