Stayed for two nights in a suite with hot tub, not worth the money decking area and outside furniture filthy, green slippy decking, furniture stained, hosepipe left switched on into the hot tub left water cascading and flooding the patio. Coffee machine dirty and didn’t work just poured out a cm of coffee into the cup, then the rest of the water poured out the back. The tea and coffee holders were absolutely minging, debris and hair in the bottom. Then there was the sticky residue down the sides of indoor furniture. Breakfast day 1 pulled out a sachet of sugar out of the dispenser and it was stuck to old wet sugar at the bottom of the dispenser. Breakfast day 2 cut my egg open to find a hair cooked into the yolk and white, complained to manager the plate was taken away and he came back and said he didn’t think the hair had been cooked all the way through ( I didn’t understand what he meant ) but I refused anything else as it put me off eating anything. I’ve just been reading about IHG cleaning protocols - all I can say is that Leicester Voco hadn’t read theirs! Watching the staff in the breakfast area cleaning tables by flicking crumbs off with a dry blue cloth that was kept in their apron just about sums it up. Final straw, our key cards stopped working at 10:45, how do I know this? Because you have to use your card to activate the lift, we were trapped in the lift with our luggage going from level 1 to 4 for 15 minutes it wouldn’t allow us to get down to the ground floor

Not impressed with paying top prices for a lovely hotel but then to have to drink expensive drinks (wine and Baileys)?out of plastic cups because it’s “match day”when I am actually sitting in the hotel bar! Apparently if you have a meal in the restaurant you can bring your drinks through (in glasses). Completely ridiculous.

Lovely room spoiled by staff and service

Room was really good, comfy and excellent bathroom/ shower. Service at dinner was poor, every table around us was served before us even tho we ordered before them. We had 11am check out in the morning but come 9.10am we had the cleaners scratching and knocking the door which woke us up, ignored it but was now awake, then by 10 am they were back knocking again, we answered the door and they asked what time we were leaving as they needed to get on! Told them ‘polity’ that we had 11 am check out.
