This was a comfortable 3 night stay in a private room with a double bed and en-suite bathroom conveniently located in the heart of the port area in Les Sables d’Olonne. Really enjoyed it!

Great location for Vendee Globe activities. Parked the car when I got there and did not use it again until I left. Room was good, what I thought I would get. Only minor issues were that there didn’t seem to be much ventilation other than the window, so a shower made it extremely humid in the room, and it was hard to shower without putting a lot of water on the bathroom floor.

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable bed and a budget friendly hotel, this is a good place for you to stay in. The rolling blinds was amusing to see! Also, an easy access to the beach and restaurants. 10-12 minutes walking distance to the train station.

We spent three nights here - were very happy with the room’s comfort and cleanliness. Our view out the window was awesome, although we didn’t discover the outer motorized shade to block the street lamps until the second night! Great location with tons of restaurants and easy access to the beach and the delightful old town.

Basic room but clean

Stayed two nights - room overlooked courtyard which was pleasant enough. Had en-suite shower toilet and basin - all facilities were clean but room and furniture quite dated. No tea or coffee facilities in room or on site unless taken with breakfast but good position in quay side. Was told no parking on site at all despite website saying there is. Lucky to find a spot down the back of the hotel - parking free for two days. Would stay again if reasonable cost.

Several disappointments. ..no clerk after 9pm...bring a phone. Small things add up: hotel name means England but no English for all intents; found manager dismissive especially when waiting for help, tried to charge for extra breakfast, said leaving a day early would be okay, but got charged anyway, never returned calls or repeated emails. Would not recommend other than price and location.

Good Location

Comfortable hotel, with friendly staff, located right on the harbour side, amongst a variety of restaurants. Not too noisy and the beach is just minutes away within walking distance.

Hotel D'Angleterre - ideal stopover

We stayed one night in this hotel before sailing back to Blighty, we had a glorious meal in the restaurant and even though we were leaving early the next morning the owner provided us with breakfast. The rooms are basic but clean and confortable. Central location in Roscoff and ideal for short stay. Will definately use again.

De passage ce weekend du 29 novembre sur Les Sables-d'Olonne, nous avons donc choisi votre hôtel. Tout est impeccable, la baignoire et la vue sur le port font un petit plus à votre chambre. Ayant croisé furtivement le personnel, nous l'avons trouvé très aimable et courtois. Nous sommes arrivés très tard dans la nuit donc nous n'avons pas pu profiter à fond de l'hôtel mais je recommande fortement et nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Allez y sans soucis, vous trouverez l'endroit très sympathique.
