This was a very nice stay on Lewis beach. It was just the right distance from everything. We could walk into town, and only a short drive to rehoboth beach. The kitchen was a bit cramped but the rooms and beds were very nice. We even had a bonfire on the beach since it was such a short walk. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want a beachfront stay!
Property was very close with easy access to a great state park. Beach was right out the door. Would rather have keyless entry as dropping off and picking up keys at the realtor office miles away is a pain. Dining prices were high for what you got and over rated. Beach and walks at state park were great.
Condo needs work. Place was not as clean as we would have expected. You pay a cleaning fee and it obvious they did not do a good job. We ended up cleaning the bathroom floor and sweeping the entire place. Location is good, only about 50 yards to beach. Little deck looks over the parking lot and bay to the right.
It was cozy with 3 adults. The listing says it can accommodate 6 people, but I'd be very apprehensive about booking for 4 or more. In person you can quickly tell that the apartment is older than you'd guess from the pictures, but it is clean despite the visible signs of age. The balcony offered a better view of the water than you'd expect from a side unit. Worth considering if you want to stay directly on the beach without the crowds and chaos of Rehoboth and don't mind driving everywhere. It would be an ambitious walk to the restaurants of historic Lewes from here. This is not a "park your car for the week and forget about it" property, but the reserved parking spaces that come with the reservation do make driving convenient. I would recommend for a married couple with one to two young children or three adults max. Anything beyond that is going to feel congested.
The highlight of this condo is the location. The public parking had no safety concerns for me. This lot is less crowded than the adjacent Savannah lot. The condo itself is very 1980s. An easy upgrade would be better pans - none were usable as the Teflon were all scratched/peeling. Ignored stains on mattress pad/mattress. The fridge and stovetop/oven were new-ish and worked great for feeding a family.
Location is amazing, you can bike into town and to Cape Henlopen (to avoid the entry fee). The place was pretty clean and the kitchen was stocked with dishes, some pots and pans, and some cleaning supplies.
The dryer doesnât vent outdoors so the bathroom will get very hot and humid if you use it. You cannot use the dresser in the second bedroom since the drawers are blocked from opening because itâs in the closet.
The place was clean and nicely decorated although had a terrible smell when we entered. The bathroom was much too small. There was literally one foot between the washer/dryer and the small sink. The toilet was almost child sized and it was impossible to reach the toilet paper. Had we been bigger we would not have been able to move in there. The dryer did not have an outdoor vent .The kitchen was immaculate but there was absolutely no room to cook which was disappointing. Basically if youâre short you have no hope in reaching the cookware as it was on top of the cabinets. I canât imagine more than three people being comfortable in this apartment. There was only one sofa and no extra chairs. However we had a nice stay and we enjoyed being right on the beach.
Excellent location, kitchen is full of plates, glasses and utensils but only 4 huge size cups for tee or coffee. Bunk bed is a joke on a top is too hot, bottom maybe ok for a teenager, but definitely not for adults. Outdated dryer does not have outside air vent. It would be nice to have portable drying rack on balcony. Both closets useless. One has dresser which drawers couldnât be open, another has folding bed, but condo does not have floor space for it. We were 2 adults and one 5 years boy. For us this place was perfect.
