Overall not the best visit.. while the staff was very sweet and welcoming and the morning breakfast was good for a quick grab before getting on the road. the property and room were disappointing. We arrived around 10pm after a long 8 hour car ride and when we got to our room the AC was not on and the room was about 82 degrees. Once we turned on the AC unit in the room it was very loud and clicked waking up our toddler through out the entire night. We tried opening the window but there was no screen so we couldn’t use it to avoid bugs and our kids getting hurt if they saw it. The hotel parking lot was also a bit scary with a lot of homeless people sleeping in the parking lot next to several cars and walking around the parking lot. The hotel was a bed to sleep on during a long road trip but overall not great for the kids, very sketchy area, and not the comfiest place :( only good thing was the staff that checked me in as she was very sweet trying to get me checked in with a computer that kept stalling on her

The staff was great, but property just felt run down. There was a lingering smell. The shower was not good. Not great value for the rate charged.

Location was by the River. Listed as a two star but would go higher. The tracks are right by but only one train around 6pm. Mystic Cafe right next door-amazing. It’s older, has a pool and an holder above ground hot tub. Has a hair dryer and iron, but bring your own toiletries mini fridge, Microwave and coffee pot. Lots of vending machines with drinks, snacks and microwaveable snacks as well.

We knew it was an older hotel from outside pic but the room pics appeared to show updates... Lighting changed perspective. Room was dark, paint looked liked a kid did the work, and there was a smell. Elevator moaned & creaked. The kicker was the bed... Set down and it was hard, seemed like an old spring mattress/bed, my husband set down and every move caused noise. We left and found another hotel. Only blessing of the visit, the front desk attendant was super nice!

It's on the old side. It wasn't very clean had a dirty ceiling in the bathroom. Fingerprint of dirt on the door jams. I cleaned it my self. I was grossed out.

Stay away, this was the worst experience I have had at a hotel, I had no hot water not even warm ( I was needing a shower before meeting my adult son for Mother’s Day dinner ) I was late ( moved all my belongings to another room on a different floor .. room had crumbs on rug ( not mine) , so hadn’t been vacuumed.. get home wanting to watch TV and TV doesn’t work .. I was tired and not impressed with having to be late , moving rooms and dirty rugs so now I have 2 employees in my room late at night I just wanted to go to bed and watch TV they finally figured it out .. and the front desk manager ( Colleen)asked me not to return the next night and she would be giving me a full refund for both nights .. ( I stayed 3) while I have paid for 3 nights and still waiting for my refund ?? I sure hope they make this right ..

Horrible customer service

You literally canceled my reservation at 5 AM in the morning. I was searching for another hotel to stay in after traveling for almost 24 hours and losing my luggage. You were no help at all. Worst experience I’ve ever had. Compensation would be definitely helpful to change this rating because it was horrible.

AHS Hotel vibes

Booked online because it looked relatively clean, had a pool and was affordable for a one night stay. We got to the hotel 25 minutes before check in and they charged us an early check in fee, we went up to our room and as soon as we unlocked the door, we noticed the door had definitely been kicked in before, one single light for the entire room, dirty room, some sort of goop left on the comforter, we immediately turned around and said nope. We checked out after about 3 minutes and went to Best Western across the river. I understand they’re an older hotel but in its current state, it’s a “by the hour” type of place.

Bad hotel

The night front desk lady was amazing. Unfortunately the room was dirty my door looked like someone kicked it in the pool and hot tub where not in service the bathroom looked like the tub wasn't cleaned, they cut off breakfast at 830 beacuse they were out of everything and as I left the building I tripped and fell in over a carpet that was flipped in the entrance. I hurt my knees and wrist.
