Great area for walking the neighborhood which took us to the Mary Todd Lincoln home and we found an Opera House during our first walk. We went back to see a show that night which was an unexpected joy! We walked to some great restaurants/distilleries downtown as well. It was definitely a SMART home with artsy decor in an historic Lexington Carriage House. Enjoyed our stay very much.
This unit was phenomenal! We booked it last minute and was shocked it was available. Itâs also the smartest smart house Iâve ever seen so if youâre allergic to technologyâŠmay not be for you but we loved it!
Terrible!!! The property was infested with spiders and was extremely dirty. We couldnât even stay one night. They did not have alternative accommodations and refused to refund is for our extended stay. Terrible experience.
This carriage house is located right downtown, easily walkable to many shops, restaurants and of course Rupp Arena. The decor and design is outstanding. The 2 bedrooms are upstairs, both have very comfortable beds and share a bathroom with a really nice shower. The downstairs bathroom has a tub. There is plenty of room for everyone to relax in the living room and a nice TV to watch sports or shows. All in all, we had a great Lexington weekend and will definitely rent this carriage house again!
Overall an enjoyable stay, but fell a bit short from "exactly right".
If you are looking for a spot that is walkable to campus and arena, this is a good find. The photos are representative of the stay, it's just a little rough around the edges. Most everything that is battery operated was not operable. It was as if the modern conveniences were there but not accessible. It is a very dark space. I love windows and bright light. Do not expect that here. I have heavy feelings about this spot as I left a very special piece of jewelry. I know exactly where is was but the owner didn't seem to want to put in the time or energy to find it for me. Saying that, for a quick stay in Lexington, this is a good fit!
there are many smart house tools in this home. We were unable to get online to use the "hey google" approach. We could not figure out either of the coffee makers that were out on the counter. The spin one was full of moldy grounds. On the second day we found the trusty old-fashioned kind in the cabinet so we were good on coffee the other two mornings. The lights in the kitchen are flashing. the ice maker makes continual noise like it needs attention, but we were not sure what to do to make it stop. The shower on the first floor had to have the breaker reset to use. The panel in the upstairs one was dark so we just used the knobs. the home is beautiful, and we were comfortable overall but probably not a good fit for us for future visits.
Overall, we had a great stay at this location! Heath and his crew were very good at responding to messages and we enjoyed this beautiful carriage house. I hosted our family Thanksgiving here since my family is spread out between three states and all in all, it went very well!
We had a wonderful one night stay in this beautifully decorated, super smart, well equipped charming house. The fun lights in the shower were a highlight! We would stay again!
This historic carriage house has been converted into a super cool place to hang out before a show at Rupp Arena or if youâre in town for the weekend. Slick furnishings, and cool lighting made this a great place to chill before and after the show we saw. Highly recommend.
This property has many high-end details, including its excellent location and cleanliness. The king bed was not for us, but bedding is super subjective! It's a coffee lover's paradise. The book provided gave excellent advice. We visited several recommended restaurants and Harvy's bar. All were within walking distance and better than expected.
