It would have been very much appreciated if there were some hooks to hang towels in the bathroom and also the patio. I understand it is a resort so customizations are limited however, maybe some 3M command strip hooks would be a feasible option. The lanoi door was difficult to open and close and the screen tracks are broken in places making the option to just have the screen door open to allow the fresh ocean breeze in not really worth it. There was also no microwave in the unit so reheating some of those delicious local leftovers wasn't an option, the microwaves that were available were up the stairs and down the hall aways making it inconvenient to use.Everything else from this experience was wonderful we enjoyed the beach chairs that were in the unit and always made sure to get our nightly hot tubbing in. The AC kept the room nice and cool for a nice cool night sleep on the comfy bed and amazing pillows! There was a Netflix account added to the TV already witch was very convenient instead of having to login to a separate account and deal with the issues on Netflix not wanting multiple devices. All in all we really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back and see the property once the remodeling of the resort is complete! Would love to see the beach get cleaned up as well!!

Everything was perfect, only downfall was construction and remodeling of the restaurants and the resort itsself is outdated, wifi wss out a few times. But room was clean and check in and check out was easy

Overall good

The resort was lovely I liked that I could still check in like a regular hotel. The room was in the realm of ok to good. The pictures made it look a bit nicer, there was a smell of mold/dampness and then something smelled coming from the back of the mini fridge. The bed was also not ideal. We came to enjoy Kauai not necessarily the room so overall everything was successful but I’d probably go a different route next time. That being said the host was great at communication and everything about this was easy.

We had a short stay for work on Kauai. It is conveniently located by the airport at to Kapa’a. The entire property is old and needs repairs.

We enjoyed the room and the property. My husband loved the view of the sunrise over the ocean each morning from the balcony. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Only surprise was that parking had increased to 40 per day.

Outrigger Kauai Beach Resort

Property and grounds were great. We had a view of the ocean from our room even though not oceanfront. We loved the larger refrigerator and the bed was extremely comfortable. The flooring in main room was in need of repair ( a few planks were loose and caught our feet a few times). A/C worked great and room was tastefully decorated. Oceanfront tiki bar was awesome although it closed at 6; wish it stayed open later. Restaurant was nice as was the bar with light fare and entertainment. Landscaping was beautiful. Excellent location. Would definitely stay at resort and this unit again.

Turn and burn rental property

There is mold growing in the bathroom paintings due to poor circulation, mold growing in the closet where the AC duct emits condensation (the drywall is wet in there) and there is mold growing on the ceiling above the bed... We're a younger couple on our honeymoon so we were looking for a more budget friendly experience. We didnt have super high expectations given the price but you're better off at staying in a hotel room than this 'resort'. It's more like a motel 8 with a fancy pool. To me it appears to be a poorly flipped property with flooring falling apart (wife jammed her toe). Our door/room keys failed twice, we had to buy our own coffee filters and the creamer provided was hardened and crusty. Dont forget anything in your car because you'll have to walk a mile to get it. Sink takes about 15 mins to fully drain. Host was very responsive and kind, but when asked what she could do to make it right she offered to swap out the moldy painting... no room swaps, no deep cleaning, no comps off the total price..
