Place is nice and check in could not be easier: keys were waiting on the counter. Very small room, clean but a lot of spiders and spiderwebs. One of the beds was very uncomfortable, the other was fine. Car noise from the road was a little annoying but not terrible.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property over a late July weekend! I was in a rush and when I booked our room, I picked a queen size bed instead of a king.. no big deal and we spent the first night on the queen bed.. when we woke up we realized that we definitely needed something bigger.. I went to the front desk and rang the bell for service and thatâs when I met the owner Glen.. he was so gracious and very willing to accommodate us.. in fact the night before we had the pleasure of meeting his daughter (Leah I believe) at check in.. again so gracious and a pleasure to talk too.. they are a family run business and are doing such great work updating the hotel, itâs absolutely gorgeous what they have done and the rooms are extremely clean.. I have read some negative reviews and I can only come to one conclusion and that is instead of bringing an issue they might have to the owners attention they would just rather not say anything, deal with it for the rest of their stay then write a bad review after the fact.. the owners canât help you if you donât bring a problem to their attention.. we plan on coming back to this area of Maine many more times and we will definitely always stay here⊠safe, clean and quiet!
Best place to stay in the Lincoln area. Cool old house, great staff, super-clean rooms. And walking distance to the center of town.
Highly recommended!
I have been going to this Inn for years . The transformation through the years of the building is amazing. It's beautiful, they are friendly and it's safe. You could not ask for a better place to stay or nicer hosts while you are there.
This was a one-night stay for us to attend a funeral in a remote area. It was in a good location that offered everything we needed. Room was quiet and large. Bed was firm and while we did sleep all night, it was "crinkly" and super firm. The spider webs that greeted us outside in front of the door were yukky but didn't affect the inside. Towels are terrible. Thin and almost thread bare enough that we used the "bath" towel provided and the hand towel to dry off with. Invest some $ in new towels. Please. We would stay here again if in the area.
Best place to stay in Lincoln. Walkable to the lakes. Room and bathroom are cleaner than most fancy hotels Iâve been in. Bed is comfortable. Small town vibe for sure.
