We had a great stay at Bairro Alto Music Guest House and would absolutely consider staying here again on a future trip to Lisbon. The location was excellent. It's in a quieter part of Bairro Alto, so we were close to restaurants, nightlife, and major sights without dealing with late-night noise. We found it easy to walk, scooter, or use public transportation to get around the city.Communication with the hosts was fantastic. They were very responsive on WhatsApp, accommodated an early bag drop/check-in around noon, and made the entire process smooth. The keypad entry system worked well once we found the property. The only challenge we had was initially locating the guest house. Lisbon's narrow, hilly streets can make GPS a little confusing, but once we found it, everything was straightforward. The room itself is compact, which we knew going in. It's more of a private guest room with its own bathroom than a traditional hotel room. The bed consisted of two twin beds pushed together, which my girlfriend was initially concerned about, but it ended up being perfectly fine for our stay. The room worked exactly as intended: a comfortable home base for sleeping, showering, and recharging between days exploring Lisbon. The bathroom was excellent, the TV was a nice bonus, and the air conditioning worked extremely well—which was a huge relief after long days walking Lisbon's steep hills in the sun.Overall, this is a great option if you're planning to spend your days exploring.
