Nice hotel in Llanwrytd Wells. We stayed here for one night for a wedding. The staff were great and service fantastic. The hotel is quirky in terms of decor but clean and comfortable with everything you need. Free parking is always a bonus as was the nice breakfast. The in-house brewery was a nice addition and the beer was great. Would definitely recommend!
Arrived early, which was no pronlem. Room was perfect, the hotel had a public bar which was great for meeting people. Absolutely superb restaurant which great service and great choice of international foods.
Nice hotel, lovely breakfast, and friendly staff. Comfortable room, and great shower in the bathroom. Dog-friendly, and a little quirky, due to its connections with the late Screaming Lord Such. Would stay there again
It was a lovely weekend, good food, friendly chatty staff, great service. A bit shabby but the owners know that. In all, a warm and comfortable place to stay. Iâll be going back.
Although the room was reasonably clean, it was generally run down, with old bathroom fittings (I did not want to have a bath as it did not look that clean and there was a rubber shower hose to attach to the taps for a shower - so no shower either). Towels were thin, bed was soft and the pillows smelled of sweat. 2 doors labelled âfire doorsâ were wedged open on the staircases. Some staff were friendly, others not so much. The food wasnât great either - barely cooked poached eggs at breakfast and soggy chips (possibly reheated) for dinner. Overall I would not recommend this hotel and do not think it was value for money at all. I wonât be staying here again. It stated there was private parking, but it was only for a few cars and so I had to park on the road. I think I will stick to booking Premier Inn in future.
The hotel was very dated and generally needed a refresh, our room was quite small although the bathroom was a decent size. Our bath did have an over shower, this being a positive over our initial room which only had a shower attachment on the bath taps. Shower reasonable power and hot.
Linen was clean albeit a slight mis match and had seen better days.
TV channels were limited as no freeview, not that we were in the room that much.
Staff were lovely and breakfast was good.
By chance we stayed when "Bog Snorkelling" was on so the hotel was full, not sure good value for money overall.
Disappointing all round. The first room I was given was very dated (1980s) and the carpets looked like they had seen too many feet, The rooms window panes were cracked the TV didn't work and the room smelt so bad of smoke it made me feel ill so I complained and changed rooms. The second room was better. I was asked what time I wanted breakfast and agreed 7.30am because I needed to be away by 8.00 I waited 15 mins no one appeared and I left without breakfast. I stay in hotels 6-8 times a month and never complain. This is the worst I have had for a very long time.
All the staff made me most welcome. My room was comfortable, although I would have liked there to have been a shower but that is a very minor observation.
Good stay overall. Staff helpful and friendly. Interesting old building with quirky features. The bed was comfortable, the shower powerful and warm. All you need. I would stay again.
Very friendly and relaxed pub/hotel. Good simple reasonably priced food. Accommodation of our needs as walkers - the packed lunch as an alternative to the cooked breakfast on our early start was really appreciated. Food and drink all reasonably priced. The appearance of the hotel is a little worn and our room didnât have a shower but that didnât detract from the overall pleasantness of the stay. The the Ukrainian honey cake was fab.
