The hot tub was very nice.To use the coffee pot, pro tipā€”- place a small plate underneath the pot or else it wonā€™t drip. We had to move the TV completely because it was the smallest thing Iā€™ve ever seen lol but the cozy furniture made staying inside during rainy weather worthwhileHowever, we would not recommend bringing a toddler to the cabin as it is situated on a slope, and thereā€™s a risk of them getting hurt or falling into the fire pit. Also, bring your own chairs as thereā€™s are broke (you can use them but we had to use a brick to prop the legs up) Overall, the cabin was nice, and we had a great time, but itā€™s not suitable for very young children. Very grateful for the large amount of towels and rags we were given and the host was kind was in a convenient spot as well.
TV is not pictured but it is there and DVD player works. Hotspot will allow you to use the smart tv and Netflix was already logged in

It was a fun, private, little cabin to stay in as a family. We didnā€™t spend much time in it other than winding down in the evening and sleeping. I wish the bed linens and inside the kitchen cabinets/drawers would have been cleaner.

We returned here because we loved the property four years ago. It was amazing last time, and I was very excited to book it for a small getaway. I was slightly disappointed this time.If you donā€™t have a four wheel drive vehicle, do not even ATTEMPT trying to get to this cabin when there is any kind of precipitation. It would be a struggle in dry weather. You could probably borrow a chain or something from the folks at the end of the road, but judging from the property, it really doesnā€™t look like the kind of place that shouts hospitality.I tried to communicate with the owner about a door code while we were on our way, and I never received any response. The door was unlocked so we could get in, but we couldnā€™t lock the front door because I didnā€™t have a code to it. Luckily, I left the fine jewels at home.The steps were very icy when we arrived and I actually slipped and fell on them while walking down to get the rest of our bags. Iā€™m the kind of person who looks around to make sure no one actually saw that. Someone did.The bathroom door was a challenge. And by challenge, it was a struggle to get out of it. I felt like I leveled up when my husband and son told me I needed to lift the door, and pull it slightly to the left.After my precipitous, ā€œHaha, see you next fall,ā€ slip on the steps (teenagers are wonderful), the hot tub sounded great. Unfortunately, there was a very strange substance on the filters that kept floating up.

Horribly dirty! They had zero cleaning supplies, only a busted broom to clean up. We had to get cleaning supplies just to take our shoes off! Because no mop or even a bucket could be found, we had to mop the floors with a small cereal bowl on our hands and knees. Turned 3 white wash cloths brown with dirt. Floors has not even been swept in a long WHILE. Toilet was disgusting as if it has never been scrubbed. Even the toilet bowl scrubber provided was disgusting. Shower floor was stained and dirty. Curly little black hairs all over the shower walls. Zero water pressure in the shower and the water smells strongly of copper. Dishes were put away in the cabinet dirty. Some had food still on the plates and silverware! Oven had food in it from who knows when. Heater has a high pitch screeching sound when running. Sheets were not clean and some pillows didnā€™t even have a pillow case on! The table had food on it that we had to clean off before touching. Hot tub was dirty and full of sticks. Not sure how the chemical levels were, but the chlorine tab floater did not have anything in it. Hot tub didnā€™t smell like chemicals either. The roads to get up to this cabin was pretty washed out, definitely needed 4x4 to make it up. They even had the audacity to hang a sign saying who cleaned the cabin and to send tips!
After sweeping then scrubbing just the area by the sink on my hand and knees.
No one had swept in a while!
This hasnā€™t been wiped off in god knows how long!
Iā€™m pretty sure the host just squirted a bit of the yellow, watered down dawn that was provided on the floor. I cleaned the floor with just a bit of elbow grease.

1. There was 0 soap shampoo conditioner anything in bathroom. 2. Stairs and entire porch was covered in pure slippery ice. 3. As we were leaving someone got stuck an us along with several cars behind us had to wait 1.15 minutes to even be able to exit the road which put a damper on our plans for that day.

Based off of previous reviews we were skeptical before arriving. The cabin was clean! The shower was more than acceptable. We saw no bugs of any kind. The hot tub was a newer model and could accommodate 4 people and was also very clean. Thanks for a great weekend.

Overall this cabin is run down. The towels were worn,dingy and stained.The stove and fridge are covered in rust. The cabin was musty and humid. The surrounding property is beautiful. There is a newer 4 person hot tub. The pictures on the website are not current.

We did have a fun trip at hocking hills and the cabin served its purpose and we had a great time. However, I strongly suggest you read the reviews people are leaving about this facility because they are accurate. The cabin is very old dirty and just feels so unsanitary. The windows donā€™t have screens. The silverware/mugs were disgusting and the furniture was dirty. The fridge was nasty as well as the stove and oven. We could not close the bathroom door as itā€™s leaning, the showers were gross and the chairs provided inside the closet were nasty. The driveway is so ridiculously rough you need to consider getting that fixed itā€™s very unpleasant. We also found cockroaches on the premises and I took a photo. The bedroom fan was so small and did absolutely nothing. Just feels like thereā€™s no effort and I feel like I payed way too much money to stay there. Unfortunately, we will never be back and we will strongly encourage other people to look elsewhere.

Out dated

I enjoyed the stay because of my boyfriend. Everything is fun with him. Now the cabin. Meh. Ive stayed in about 8 different cabins all over hocking hills. This one being the least favorite. Dog hain in sheets and a badly busted hot tub cover. Temperature control stuck ect.

Disappointed

The first thing was the hot tub was absolutely disgusting and thatā€™s what we were looking forward too. We were not able to get into the hot tub . The bedding had dog hair on it when we fluffed it out so we slept on the couch . I donā€™t think they had even been cleaned. Everything was outdated, the water was aweful.
