So-So for the price

The hotel is lovely on the outside and nice on the inside. The staff was nice and helpful. Our room, however, was nearly $300 and was very tired . . . the carpet was threadbare in many places (not just a few), and the ceiling was literally peeling in a rather large spot (presumably from a leak above). I just feel that for that price, the condition of the room should be pristine at a known brand like Hilton. The price may not warrant luxury, but it does warrant cleanliness (ours was clean) and perfect repair.

Great place. My paid in advance booking wasn’t in the system when we got to the hotel. I had to wait around and get the manager to sort, and the staff were great in doing so, helping to get the family feel at ease with the situation. The beds were just right. It usually takes a night for me to settle in, but felt comfortable from the first night. Would definitely recommend.

We had a family room for 2 adults and 12 year old . Around 9pm we went to the room and see the childs bed had 1 pillow and would like 2 as pillows were very soft. Called reception, no answer just a solid tone. I had pjs on so did not want to go to reception in person. I called room service who answered and i explained that i would like a pillow and they said they would pass the message on. Nothing came. The following morning i wanted to make tea but had no milk. I went to reception and asked for milk, they said they would send some up. 1 hour i waited before giving up. Our plug sockets in the room gave little power and we could not charge our divices. The usb slot was broken. Service was good and food in breakfast was good however the cleanliness overall was not. The carpet where we had breakfast has sausage by the table. After dinner we had drinks at the same table and the sausage was still there. The next day there was sliced ham on the floor at the table where we had been sat. Hotel is beautiful and location is great however for the price paid i was disappointed overall
