There was no soundproofing in my room so I could hear the people next door playing music and chatting most of the night. The hotel wasn't very busy and I was on the 3rd floor, so I'm not sure why I had to be right next door to them. I didn't really see much staff presence during my stay and wasn't sure how to communicate with reception when in my room. The lift didn't work properly. It seemed to get stuck on certain floors, with the lift doors staying wide open. I ended up going up and down five flights of stairs multiple times. This would be a major issue for those unable to use the stairs. Fix it ASAP!!! Breakfast was fine, but the choice was quite basic. The scrambled eggs were awful and very dry and crumbly! The guacamole was a nice touch and full of flavour though. The room was clean, but it was a bit weird that Ibis doesn't provide bath mats as standard. I didn't realise that until I was about to have a shower and so had to use my hand towel instead. Not ideal. Overall, it was an ok stay for a night since my boiler at home wasn't working and I needed somewhere close by to sleep. Would I recommend the hotel to others? I'm not sure, it would depend on how reasonable the nightly rates were for what you get.

Room was a good size, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was very clean. Found it to be quite a quiet location with very little to no outside noise. The staff were helpful and polite. Checking in and out were both very easy. The hotel is only about a 5 minute walk from Stratford station and the Westfield shopping centre so has excellent connections.
