This is a very well-equipped, newly-refurbished, ground floor single storey dwelling with a modern and minimalist finish. The flat has two double bedrooms, two shower rooms (one being en suite), and a well lit open- plan kitchen/diner and living room, which includes a single SofaBed. It’s very conveniently situated to explore the attractions of the local neighbourhood - including Notting Hill, Portobello Road, Kensington Palace and Gardens, and Hyde Park, as well as having exceptional transport links to the rest of London from Notting Hill Gate tube station -which is only a three-minute walk For a sense of the neighbourhood you can go to: You Tube London Kensington Church St and Side Street Virtual Walking Tour 4K HDR 21 Mar 2022. After about three and a half minutes of the video you reach Notting Hill Gate tube station and then you follow the same route as the camera down Kensington Church Street and pass the entrance to our street after about two and a quarter minutes - or six and a half minutes from the beginning of the video. The camera does not look into our street and if you reach the Churchill Arms Pub with all its floral excrescence you will have gone two streets too far - rather like the pub! You should be aware - though it’s not obvious from the video- that the green spaces of Holland Park (with its lovely Japanese Garden), Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park are all within walking distance.

The flat is situated in a very quiet no-through street leading off Kensington Church St, being on the edge of pretty Notting Hill Village and is set back from the pavement by its own front area and as soon as you enter the front door you’re in the flat. If you make a booking you will receive full access details together with useful local info at the end of the month prior to your booking and you will let yourself in using the code to a key box. Check in is after 15.00 but you are welcome to drop off your baggage anytime after 10.00, and if the cleaner has clearly finished their work then you are also welcome to settle in. You are also welcome to leave your bags after checkout for collection later, but before 15.00.

Shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants all congregate around the tube station (a three minute walk), from where you can easily access the West End on the Central Line, or, via the District and Circle Line, visit the Royal Palaces, the Houses or Parliament and Westminster Abbey, the Tower of London, the Churchill War Rooms, and the three Museums in South Kensington. Getting there from Heathrow airport takes about 45 minutes and from Gatwick airport it’s about one hour.

Perfect location

We loved the location! We had been traveling for almost 3 weeks in Italy and stopped for 4 days in London to meet up with our grandson who is studying abroad. He was able to stay with us and had his own space. It felt good to relax in this comfortable location. Rob was very kind to let us drop our luggage and check in early as the cleaning has been done. He also let us leave our luggage until our taxi picked us up later in the day for our flight. We were able to take one last stroll to Kensington Gardens and have lunch. I would highly recommend this place!

Great location. Very close to bus stop and Tube station. Pleasant and safe area.

The best part was we could arrive early and leave our luggage at the house until we checked in later that afternoon. Though we didnt have a problem, there was a bad smell seemingly a plumbing issue. I would stay here again

Notting Hill Flat

We absolutely loved the location of the flat as it was convenient to local coffee shops, pubs, taverns, and most importantly the Tube. We were very happy that the flat had a large refrigerator and microwave. We did not use the stove top or the oven while we were there.

Location, Location, Location!

This apartment was in a great location. You are close to the Notting Hill Station, Portabello Road, and great restaurants. It has plenty of space. The owner was quick to remedy a few minor problems.

Fantastic location and plenty of space

We stayed for several nights. The location was perfect. It was easy to get anywhere we wanted via the close tube station. Lots of close eating options. Grocery shops nearby as well. Our favorite thing was grabbing a breakfast pastry from Paul bakery next to the underground station. Rob was response to communicate prior to our arrival and never needed to reach out once we got here.

Location: I spent weeks reviewing possible locations and was told the real thing to do in London is to stay in a nice area near the tube. Notting Hill Hub

What a great location!! The property was clean, quiet and everything the listing said it was. We were very happy! From Notting Hill Gate there was easy access to the Central, District and Circle Tube lines. If where we went couldn’t be reached directly off those lines then it was a single transfer away. If our hosts were also responsible for the weather then a big thanks there as well! 10 days in London in March and not a drop of rain. Thanks to Rob and Camber for making our London stay as easy as it could be.

Amazing location

The location was fabulous - we could visit Portobello markets, visit Holland park, enjoy the Brand museum and the many different food offerings (including the amazing market at the primary school. The apartment itself was just what we needed - plenty of room to spread out, good beds, and well stocked kitchen.

Absolute Perfection

This flat is on a beautiful street just around the corner from a tube stop, and a short walk down the hill if you want to catch a different line. Close to any of the grocery stores you need, and restaurants and pubs, including my favorite, The Scarsdale Tavern, a little neighborhood gem , about 20 minutes away. The location is perfect, and the flat is spacious , two big bathrooms, with a full kitchen and a very good washer/dryer unit. Plenty of seating room to relax in when your day is done. For washing clothes, Use the “extra dry” option and your clothes will be washed and ready to pack in good time. Easy to find with lockbox entry. We didn’t need to contact the host once we arrived, but before we arrived we were given directions to Twickenham because we’d mentioned we were in for the rugby! This will be our go to VRBO for all future trios to London.

Cozy flat with a great location!

Everything was great at our stay in Notting Hill. Fast access to the tube, and many great restaurants in the area. Place was clean with a washer/dryer combo, and 2 showers that had plenty of hot water. It was cold while we were there, and the little heaters kept us nice and toasty. Really, a lot of positives. Loved the towel warmers- although the one in the bath near the kitchen was broken. The only negatives were that there was some mold and water damage issues. When entering each day, we could smell the mold/damp smell very strongly. There were air fresheners near a moldy spot on the outside of the showers, that really weren't doing much, as it seems the problem isn't just form the showers.Overall, it did not affect our stay much, and we were all happy with the place!

Notting Hill Charmer

This charming 2 bedroom flat is located in the hip Notting Hill neighborhood, just minutes from Notting Hill Road and Tube station. Filled with light from rooftop sky lights it’s well appointed with 2 comfortable bedrooms. Exactly as described in the listing. The host Rob was incredibly responsive. Would definitely stay at this property again.

Peaceful and perfect!

With a few very minor issues (already addressed by Rob), this place was close to perfect.   We (3 adults) wanted a place larger than the standard London hotel shoebox.  And with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, this was perfect.  Fluffy towels, comfortable beds and towel warmers made it even better. And the location was fantastic too … a very quiet street and so close to great food and pubs along with the Portobello Road Market, and most importantly, the Underground (Notting Hill Gate).  Regardless of where you stay in London, you will need the Underground.  And being within a quick 3 minute walk, it was perfect to go in any direction. Coming “home” after a long day, it was so peaceful stepping out of the underground into Notting Hill and escaping the chaos of London! Check-in was painless and simple; exactly as communicated.  Having the ability to leave our bags during the cleaning period (1000-1500), at both check-in and checkout was great. And our host Rob was very responsive to our many queries. Highly highly recommend Rob’s place.

Perfect location

The unit was exactly what we were looking for, close to public transport, stores, restaurants, pubs, and parks. Unit was very clean located on a dead end street that has alley way for access to other roads. I highly recommend this unit if you are planning on staying in Notting Hill area of London.

Lovely abode

A lovely stay for 5 nights, has everything we needed. Queen bed was so comfy, plenty of heating in apartment if needed and a great idea with having portable fans for air flow. Lovely to see a kettle which was clean, cup of tea tastes good. We would absolutely recommend this apartment.

Good But Strong Smell

Similar to other reviews, flat was clean, great location, had all of the amenities we needed. Only a couple of other reviews have mentioned however, that this apartment has a very strong smell of mildew/mould. Even with all windows and skylights open it would not go away. I would not recommend staying here if you are sensitive to smells or have allergies. As we had our two small children with us, the indoor air quality was a concern and I would strongly recommend that the flat get tested for mould and get an air purifier in the future at a minimum.

Great Stay

The property was perfect for two adult women, as we each had our own bedroom and full bath. The location was excellent - short walk to Underground station that serves three lines; bus stops for several lines; lots of restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops, stores within walking distance. Check in was super easy, as the keys were in a lock box. In addition to that set, there were two more sets left in side. That was very comforting, in the event that we forgot to take our keys with us, we could still always get back in. Rob, the owner,, was very accessible and responsive if we needed anything from him. The only not completely positive thing I would like to point out is that while the main bedroom and bathroom are quite large and roomy with lots of storage space, the second bathroom and bedroom were quite small. Other than that, the place was perfect, and I can highly recommended it and definitely stay there again.
