Very clean and fresh room with a modern bathroom. Really friendly staff from check in to breakfast and check out. Would be better if they have at least a free toiletries too save handing to remember them.

Arrived about 9 45pm, went to our ground floor room, had quad beds. The heating didn't work so I went to the Reception and there was the Receptionist and another man. I said our heating didn't work, and the Receptionist said with a smile' Oh the heating comes on from 10pm for an hour ' I just dumb founded just said' It's December ' The other man said if it 10-11pm.then I can give you a heater'. I said I'll take the heater now!. He said he would get it and bring it to the room.He followed me back into the room where my friend was waiting and proceeded say I'll show you how it works' and did show how it works. He said when it's warm enough switch it off... My friend looked at him with surprise and shock, he saw that and said 'er or you could put it on off as you want.'. He left and my friend and went over these events and could not believe what had happened! Then it was still cold and we found that after the demo of the heater he had switched it off!. So we kept it on all night! The carpets (1990's) were old ruckled in parts especially outside ensuite to the point of being a trip hazard. We both are mobility impaired. The ensuite shower was found to have some hairs in it, and there was no kettle, ( Supposed to be as a, standard in 3 star!, we found out via looking at reviews in the hotel had a lounge come luggage room, where you could get a coffee in there but you couldn't take it back to your room! Couldn't believe it!.Breakfast reviews, were dire so ate out.Who let it be3*.

The room was good air for money and the reception desk team were friendly. My only quibble was there wasn’t any shower gel. Fortunately I had my own. I loved that there were enough towels .

I liked the location of the Orchard Hotel -being situated close to Paddington Station. The hotel was very clean. The staff I met were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very basic & I feel more choices would be an improvement.My room was very clean & the bed was comfortable. However the room was cold -the radiator was switched off.

Good location

No kettle in room to make drink which was a disappointment. Breakfast very limited- just toast, cereal, cheese & ham. Orange squash not juice. Bed comfortable, good shower with plenty of hot water. Good location.

Excellent for its closeness to Paddington Rail (express to Heathrow AP) and Metro, Paddington and Edgware. Breakfast was not up to the level of a Denny's or Bob Evens but adequate. For my whole stay I slept well, it was quiet and peaceful. Suggestion, my room did not have a port to charge my phone but fortunately I had an electrical UK adaptor, if you are from the states bring one with you.

Orchid Hotel Review I stayed at the Orchid Hotel for a week after leaving the Crown Royal IHG Hotel. Overall, the stay met my expectations. The room (107) was very clean, and the staff were warm, pleasant, and attentive. However, I rated the hotel 3 out of 5 due to a few key issues: Unreliable Internet – The Wi-Fi was unstable throughout my stay, which is critical in today’s environment. Despite being told it was working, other guests also reported similar issues. Reliable internet access is essential and should be prioritized. Ironing Facilities – There are no irons in the rooms. Guests are required to use a communal iron in the lobby, which is inconvenient and lacks privacy. Transportation – It was often difficult to catch an Uber or cab after 8 a.m. due to rush hour. While this is common in London, it’s worth noting for guests who need morning transportation. On the positive side, the hotel provides a simple breakfast (toast, boiled eggs, cold cuts, cheese, coffee/tea) that serves its purpose, even if basic. In summary, the Orchid Hotel is clean, affordable, and staffed by attentive employees, but it urgently needs improvements to its Wi-Fi and ironing facilities to deliver a more comfortable guest experience. Rating: 3/5
