READ BEFORE BOOKING The location or hotel itself was nice, wish we’d booked a river view room though as the view from balcony/room wasn’t great. Had a few issues: - Had to call reception 3 times and go down twice to ask for luggage to be brought up post-check in - took an hour just for this and we needed to get ready! - Staff came to try and decorate room for Valentine’s Day AFTER we checked in which was super awkward and a shame - TV in room kept turning off randomly - burning hot water only from one point on Saturday from bathroom taps/showers which took HOURS for the hotel to sort and we ended up missing our Valentine’s Day dinner reservation - PARKING: please note it’s £85 per night for hotel (limited) parking. We were unaware of this as it’s not on Expedia page. Would have taken train if we had known - Spa facilities: such a shame that apart from the pool there were no shared-gender spa facilities e.g. steam room/sauna We did mention these issues/concerns to management who tried to rectify by offering complimentary breakfast - which was actually very nice! Maybe we were just a bit unlucky. Just a shame for the price you pay really - wouldn’t call it a 5*! Doesn’t feel luxurious at all - have been to many luxury hotels in London/globally in my lifetime!

Staff service needs to be improved and they need to be more empathetic. Breakfast is just average. Noise in bathroom pipes needs to be checked. Check in process could be better for the amount charged per night. Hotel needs to live to its name and glamour.

The porter and receptionist were very friendly and helpful upon arrival. The room felt a bit dated and there were a lack of plugpoints around the bed area to charge phones. There were no wine glasses in the room to enjoy a drink. We tried to get a drink at 10.55pm after coming back from the football, but we were told the bar was closed, with people inside eating and drinking. There was a coldness to the night staff when we ordered drinks to our room.
