Reception staff average, expected more for a five star hotel. Disappointed with the extra charges on checkout: charity donation and tip for service? Again, not what you expect from a five star hotel. On the positive side, the breakfast was delicious. But for £45 per head it should be.

Great location , literally a stones throw from Buckingham Palace and all the drama that comes with it . The hotel staff were warm and welcoming and concierge was particularly efficient. The hotel is traditionally and warmly decorated but it is a little fraid at the edges and could do with minor repairs …… but the room was spotlessly clean and the bed and sheets were exceptional . No gym and no arrangement with a local gym other than at a high cost is a huge disappointment for a five star hotel .

We stayed one night on a theatre and shopping trip. The hotel was lovely and welcoming, beautifully dressed for Christmas and the staff were really friendly and helpful. We didn’t order breakfast so cannot comment on that. Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable but we only had a double bed and I prefer a kingsize as a minimum.

OH what a perfect experience don't know where to begin- Staff was outstanding!! Fro bellman, front desk, to bar both managers and staff! Room cant say enough ~ GORGEOUS!! roomy comfortable!! WE were there in December and the holiday decor a fantastic! I already looking forward to returning to London ad mainly due to this hotel!! Location was great as well!

The staff at this hotel are top-notch and care about one thing - the satisfaction of their guests. Whether it be the doorman - who always was there with a smile and has a great sense of humor - or the folks at the registration desk - customer service is number one. My daughter got extremely sick with food poisoning - like EXTREMELY SICK. We needed garbage bags, towels, cleaning products, towels, etc. Never once did they say no and never once did they end up put out. There are more details that I will spare you with - but I will spare you. EVERYONE from the registration desk to the concierge, etc. cared about our health and safety and made sure that we were OK and taken care of. Great hotel - a short walk to Buckingham and the staff makes this place well worth it as well. Five Stars!
