The vibe and atmosphere of staying above a pub was great however half the outlets did not work, the coffee machine in our room did not work, we had to ask the bar tenders for more toilet paper, housekeeping didnât seem like a thing and so for 7 days we had to use the same bathroom towels. It would have been nice to have had a refresh even once.
Also, I understand itâs a pub with an inn however I was told before flying 9 hours to come to the property anytime after 3pm to check in. When I got there it was closed and no one picked up my multiple phone calls. I believe a bartender showed up around 3:30 who told us to come back later.
Firstly the room had no heating, as it was broken, and they did not inform us, it has been down for 2 weeks! Secondly, they supplied a very dangerous heater with no feet, so it would have burnt the carpet and caused a fire if we'd turned it on. The shower door was hanging off and grubby, and finally at midnight the fire alarm went off, and nobody came to check or apologise. However we did get a full refund. I certainly would not recommend this place.
Room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The space in the double room is a bit tight, but that is quite typical of London accommodations at that price point.
Check-in process was smooth, we sent a WhatsApp message to the hotel prior to arriving to confirm a check-in time and they were quick with their response time.
The neighbourhood it's located in is very convenient - barely a 5 minute walk to the tube station, safe for walking in even at night and full of shops and restaurants.
The rooms are above a pub so expect some noise. Oddly enough though, it wasn't at all noisy at night (they close by midnight) but rather in the morning (cleaning downstairs and construction outside).
Would recommend overall!
I thought going with a small hotel would give a nicer service at least. This place is above a trying to be trendy pub. I say trying because it was actually pretty empty so they aren't hitting the local trend anyway. The rooms are up the back stairs so as a lone female traveller i had to walk past the smokers each time i went to my room. The room itself was dark and again trying to be trendy but missing the point. The safety light on the door shone on the pillows all night and the filthy windows were badly maintained and difficult to open. AC had a malfunction which meant it gave out a noisy juddering intermittently. I would have raised these issues with staff but they were less than welcoming and when my key card failed to work on the second day they gave me the impression it was my fault. At no time was i asked if my stay was ok. Housekeeping was perfunctory at best. Didn't feel safe. Couldn't wait to leave. Won't be back.
We were very disappointed with our bathroom. The shower screen was not attached properly so we did not feel it was safe to use. The plastic strip on shower screen was disgusting and needs cleaning. The glass shelf was coming away from the wall.
We are happy to say the bed was really comfortable and it wasnt to noisy
Reserved a two-night stay, but on arrival there was booking confusion as to whether I had made a last-minute booking (no!) and whether it was for one night or two nights (definitely two!). My room cards had to be re-issued on the first night to ensure they were valid for two nights, but then on day 2, they didn't work and had to be replaced a third time.
Despite the email from The Wolfpack Inn offering an official receipt on request, I have still been unable to obtain one after asking several times in the Inn and by email - to no avail.
Oh, and watch your feet/legs, as the dark bed frames merge into the room - ouch!
The staff on site were friendly enough and there was a great range of beers, but sadly that does not make up for the lack of organisation/professionalism on the booking/invoice front.
We arrived at the hotel an hour early and had a drink in the bar which was lovely.
We were sat at a table inside and it was quiet inside but an employee asked us to move tables as there was a booking however there was no reservation sign and most other tables free which was strange. We told him we would move anyway as it was check in time and he said he couldnt find our booking. We then googled it and found another wolfpack inn 30 minutes away so booked an uber, my partner went in because we were sure we were at the right location. There was some miscommunication and it turns out we did have a booking and we checked in (with a heft cancellation uber free - london prices). We checked in and the room looked lovely.
However we booked a double room but it was just two single beds pushed together, so not really a double. When using the shower the temperature was scorching hot and couldnt be changed. The water from the taps also just ran warm so couldnt have a glass of water. The coffee machine also didnt work and just ran water out of it.
The room however did look lovely and was in a good location. However, wouldnt stay again.
