Room was small. The floor creaked when you walked and would make the dresser handles shake everytime you walk by. Bathroom and shower very tiny.

This place is great for a little getaway in Santa Monica! Cute, quaint rooms with everything you need to settle in comfortably. A short walk down to the pier, or turn the corner and you’re right in the heart of downtown. No car needed to visit here, everything is walkable and a great view at that! Foodaroumd this place is delicious and some shops near the hotel even offer hotel guests a discount. Don’t skip this spot for a place to stay

We enjoyed the hotel very much. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had only two concerns. #1 the water pressure the shower was poor and the temp fluctuated between very hot and very cold. This may be due to the age of the property. The other was maybe specific to our stay but it was pretty bad. We had upstairs neighbors that would walk around very loudly for extended periods of time late at night. The first night at 3am and the second night about 1. I am not a light sleeper but it woke me. I ended up calling the front desk to complain the second night as it went on for more than 30 minutes.

The hotel has a great location, however the sorroundings are Ghost towns, beside the pier, nothing left to do, all shops & restaurants are abandoned. I stayed there 2 nights and theres a bar close by that has karaoke nights up until 3:00 am, couldn't sleep at all.

Last minute hotel during my stay in Santa Monica. This is a boutique family-owned hotel built in the late 20s, I believe. Obviously, there have been upgrades made…vinyl plank flooring and beds. The staff when I arrived after 9pm were super nice and efficient. The room I paid for was about 160 square feet and aside from the bed, had no other furniture…no chair or desk. It would be a classic inexpensive room in NYC. Aside from hat the positives was its right downtown, walkable distance (2 blocks) to the walkway over the 101 to Santa Monica beach. Restaurants and other shopping around (e.g., Trader Joe’s and Target). The negatives were it was loud…was on the third floor and my room seemed to back to a club on 3rd St that was open until 5 am…screaming loud thumping beats didn’t make for much rest. And I swear the people above me were wearing roller skates in their room.. the sound of a lot of rolling around. Had to pay for parking, which was literally just 300 or so feet from the hotel front door. It’s a city-owned garage. Well lit and seemingly very safe. Parking for 24 hours was $25…very reasonable. Would I stay there again? In a pinch, maybe…the location is prime but it looks like amateurs painted my room and did the caulking for the bathroom fixtures. And while the shower/tub is clean & fine, whomever set it did a horrible job constructing the base to set it in place. Not bad. Not great.

Great location! Walkable to so many restaurants, shopping and the pier. Staff were great and beds were comfortable. Older hotel. A little loud at night, but expected. I would stay here again
