Hotel with ocean views and great value

Overall really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was partially under construction so the lobby was in a bit of disarray, the pool was closed, and random places would be closed suddenly but that ended up being a near non-issue. The breakfast was great and the woman working the breakfast was amazing and so kind. Our room was pretty basic but that’s all we needed. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. It had views of the ocean which was really nice. It’s got close proximity to restaurants, Starbucks, Trader Joe’s, and other services. It’s in a great location. Overall, an awesome hotel and i plan on staying here again!

They’re working on this place - lobby was under construction when we were there. The rooms could use updates, but they were clean. 15 minute walk to beach and nice little breakfast nook in the morning.

Property was under construction and I didn't know that when we booked the room. It was strange that they offer parking at $10 per night when the parking lot is connected and part of the hotel. We did ask for a late check out for 1130 to 12 they charged us $10. The breakfast area was stocked well and comfortable and the breakfast staff named Angeles was awesome. She provided us with answers to questions about the area things to do, etc. She is a great staff and is very dedicated to her job there at the hotel. The person that received us at our first night at 1 AM was great. She was helpful and very friendly.. the reverse side of the curtain in our room was disgusting seriously full of a massive amount of dust which I think I got hives from. You can't see it unless you look at it through/from the outside window looking in it's horrible. A little outdated, but overall the room was clean. The bathmat was also disgusting. It was a good rate for the area if these two things were fixed, the overall experience would've been perfect especially for the price. There were two small bottles of Fiji water on the shelf that were marked for over five dollars apiece. I think that maybe they could put cheaper water and just make two bottles complementary would've made it nice. I also was not offered a chance to join their rewards program. Which I might've signed up for.

Room ‘tired’: curtains turn, room musty smelling, windows very dirty. Disappointed that housekeeping was every 3 days; WiFi poor; pool area not available but this was not communicated to us. Breakfast was limited choice but plentiful; downside was disposable cups, plates etc. Server was very attentive.

Negatives: Broken bathroom floor tiles, mold at bottom of inside of the blackout curtain on the siding glass door, tile repairs that didn't match, carpet was worn and dirty. No microwave in the room, water cooler in the fitness center was empty (desk clerk said they only have water delivered a couple times a month). Positives: bed, sheets and pillows very comfortable, staff was friendly and polite, room was quiet, breakfast was healthy.
