I had a great stay at Sofitel in Beverly Hills. The hotel is under construction in some areas of the lobby, but this was not an issue at all. I requested a room facing the Hollywood Hills and it was nice and peaceful, not sure how the rest of the rooms are. I was amazed at how large and complete the gym is, it must be the best gym that I’ve ever used in any hotel. Jorge at the front desk was extremely nice and accommodating and everyone else made sure I had a pleasant stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Was in LA for business. This property was under construction with no disclosure in the booking, and work beginning at 6 AM every day. Restaurant was closed. Room was dark, dingy, and the bathroom did not appear to be fully clean. I was able to cancel the reservation with a full refund, thanks to hotel management and Expedia working together. I checked into The London at a similar rate and it is a far superior hotel. Would never stay here again.

The hotel's location is great. Easy access to most places around. The hotel is a bit aged, they are going through renovation now but you see it in the hotel rooms and floors at the moment. They also gave us a refillable water bottle through our stay, but the water machine on our floor broke on our first day of arrival and was broken for all 5 nights we were there, so we had to go to the lobby to get water from them every time. The staff is fantastic, always warm and friendly and smiley. We didn't get a room upgrade as they said they're at high occupancy.
