We didnt even get to stay at the Del Palmar. When we arrived, we were informed that we had been moved to the Del Arco as Del Palmar was under renovation. We were not informed of the change and our request (booking)for our second room with two beds was not fullfilled. The checkin staff was not helpful and the manager Reay shrugged us off. We asked to maybe find two rooms near eachother as we had our kids with us, opposite sex. We ended up on different floors and the managment didnt care. They wanted another $750 to change our current situation. Second time we have had problems with the Villa Group

We showed up for our reservation (like literally shuttled from the airport) and were told at the front desk that the resort was under renovations and our reservation had been changed to a different resort 15 minutes away. Absolutely crazy! They acted like it was no big deal and said that we were sent an email. What?! Our reservation STILL says Villa Del Palmar in Expedia and I was just sent a review from this resort that we didn't even stay at. Literally this was so off-putting and a horrible way to treat people who pay a lot of money to stay in a resort. We were traveling with our young kids - basically we spent half a day going to a different resort and getting checked in while trying to keep our young kids busy with no apology. It was literally so crazy! Would never book with this resort again!

i love the view of the ocean. i didn't like the fact that for everything you asked for you needed to sign a receipt with the high cost of the items and an opportunity to guilt you into tipping. every time i asked for something in particular i got a bad gesture when it came ti sing the tab all of a sudden the were very nice. we were very limited to our basket of snacks in the room and extra water we had to actually go down to the bar and get ourselves. did not feel like an all inclusion resort at all. i felt like i was being monitored on everything we consumed

I recently stayed at Villa Del Palmar and unfortunately the experience fell short of expectations in multiple ways that really took away from the quality of our trip. From the start, we were given incorrect information by the concierge, who told us our all-inclusive package only covered restaurants within our specific section of the resort and excluded the others. We later learned from another guest that this was not true at all, and we had in fact been missing out on more dining options because of that misinformation. It was frustrating to be told something so limiting, especially when we found out it wasn’t accurate. At the sports bar, we experienced more confusion. One evening we asked the hostess if they had coffee and she said no, only for us to see her walk over to the bar and get a to-go cup of coffee for another customer. The very next day when we sat down to eat there, we were served coffee without any issue, which made it clear that the night before we had simply been dismissed or not taken seriously. That inconsistency in service was not only confusing but made us feel like we couldn’t rely on staff to give us clear or honest answers. At the breakfast buffet, one of us ordered a latte after our meal, and it was brought out in a to-go cup with the lid already on. When we opened it to check the temperature, it was lukewarm, so we asked a staff member to reheat it. When it came back, it was hot as requested, but as we took a sip, we discovered someone else’s room rece
