I fell in love with this place! The beachfront location is ideal, and the views are breathtaking. What really made our stay special, though, was the incredible staff - everyone was warm, welcoming, and made sure we had an amazing time!

Everything was great except the Italian restaurant. Staff seemed distracted. We thought maybe the air conditioning was broken- it was SO hot inside. The set-up was weird… a buffet but also enters that were the same as what was on the buffet. And lots of flies, unfortunately

We have stayed at this hotel five times. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. There should be some upgrades done to the rooms, it’s outdated. The in room bar should be hanging somewhere else as it is hard to reach for shorter people. The food in the restaurants good be better. It’s a hit and miss. We always enjoy our stay at this property.

Overall was a good experience. However, I experienced two significant issues during my stay. First, a pair of my sun glasses were stolen, which was very concerning. Second, I was placed in a room with a non-functioning toilet that could not be flushed. Although an initial attempt was made to repair it, the issue was not resolved, and I was informed that further work was needed to lift the bowl. Unfortunately, this repair was not completed until two days later, leaving me without a functioning toilet during that time.

This is my first visit to a Riu in Mexico. All the staff was very friendly and forthcoming. Taxi service was great and reasonably priced to get you anywhere. Rooms were nice, roomy, plenty of anemities shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, hand soap is all provided and refilled as needed and was of good quality. Plenty of towels ect. Our room unfortunately had that faint mold smell but it wasnt bad enough to having change rooms due to our allergy issues. They have several restaurants, serving different foods at different times. We tried 3 different specialty restaurants. And really just ended up going to the main dining room, buffet style. The Japanese restaurant was a dissapointment, Another day we tried the Italian place. Had the mushroom truffle lasagna I got sicker than a dog. The Italian restaurant is a little further off the beaten path so maybe their food rotation is not the greatest. The Mexican restaurant was better than I expected went twice. Do yourself a favor and just hit the buffet more option and choices and you can pick and choose what looks best to you and is the freshest looking. Beach was beautiful. BUT it is not a very swimable beach. Red flags the whole time. Even though you did see some folks in the water. All in all it was a good trip and probably would go again
